Had photos of old roof vs new roof where I can compare the quality of their work services . I like the way they presented during estimation showing the materials actual wood they are installing. The initial contact with Michael Sheehan was very pleasant as well as informative. He helped us choose the best roof to meet our requirements and provided us with a written proposal outlining the work to be performed, warranty features, and total cost. We chose Acorn to do our job based on the following factors: we judged their proposal to be our best value considering cost, quality and warranty; Acorn has credentials as both a GAF Master Elite contractor and an Owens Corning Preferred contractor; they could schedule us before the onset of hurricane season; they have received numerous positive online reviews; and Michael was responsive and easy to work with. Whenever we called Acorn’s office, Mary was there to pick up the phone. Mary is pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and thorough. Any questions or requests that we had were addressed promptly and effectively. The crew worked very diligently and efficiently, completing the job within the projected two-day timeframe. Ron, the head crew chief overseeing the work, was present the entire time. The cleanup was quite well done, and both the dumpster and residual material were removed in less than one hour after the crew had finished. We found all of the workers that we were directly involved with, including vendors delivering supplies, to be polite, considerate, and personable. We have only had the new roof for less than one month, but it evidently seems to be performing as expected. It certainly looks very nice and has elicited several compliments. "Myself and my father has used MJA Contracting for two roofs in our houses in Jersey City. Both times Manuel and his team has taken good care of us and installed good roofs. At first I thought the price was a bit high but after I saw the amount of time, material, and workmanship that they completed I thought the price was very fair. Roofs are alot of work as I learned. What I especially liked about Manuel is he did not go cheap and install a torch down rubber roof. He installed a rubber EPDM roof instead. If you have a flat roof, do yourself a favor and install a rubber EPDM membrane and make sure to contact Manuel. He also rebuilt our chimneys very good as well. Excellent masons! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!"
