"Steve did an outstanding job before, during and after the installation of our roof. He went the extra mile to work with our HOA to ensure the shingles he planned to install would meet the HOA requirements. He was on-site through the installation to ensure all went smoothly. And he arranged to finish some clean-up work after the installation. Highly recommend Copper Creek for anyone's roofing needs."

"I would highly recommend Adobe Roofing and Construction for all of your roofing needs! I have been using this company for over 15 years and they have done exceptional work. I initially hired them to replace the roof on my own residence. I was so impressed with their customer service and workmanship that I now refer all of my real estate clients to Adobe for roof repairs and/or replacement when selling or purchasing a new home. Anytime a client has roofing issues, they are quick and efficient at assessing any damage and their bids are always very competitive!"

"Jeff has been to our home a number of times. He did a roof inspection and found our roof to still be in good shape. Then following a recent windstorm, we lost the shingles on the roof cap. Jeff insepcted the roof again, told us he had replacements in his shop and came back a couple of days later to replace them...all at NO charge! Just incredible. Wonderful guy, wonderful company."

"The pre-project explanations and advising were super helpful and very responsive to our situation and information needs. The installation itself was timely and efficient. The aesthetic outcome is excellent, as advertised. The final walk-through with the project manager answered out last minute questions and clarification needs. In summary, the two most salient attributes of this project were: 1) the knowledge and responsiveness of the management staff, and 2) the timeliness and efficiency of the actual installation."

FAQs for wood shake or composite roofing installation and replacement projects in Littleton, CO

Cedar shakes and wood shingles might seem similar, but they have some important differences. Cedar shakes are hand-split, giving them a unique, textured appearance that adds rustic charm to your roof. They're great for homeowners who want a distinctive look. Wood shingles, conversely, are machine-made, providing a smooth, uniform appearance for a more modern look. Shakes tend to be more expensive due to the craftsmanship involved but offer exceptional beauty and resilience.

A well-maintained cedar shake roof can last up to 60 years. However, factors like severe weather and improper ventilation can reduce its lifespan. You should consider replacing your roof if you notice persistent leaks, visible water damage, curling or splitting shakes, moss growth, rot, or missing shakes. Regular inspections can help you determine when it's time for a replacement.

When hiring a roofing contractor for your cedar shake roof, asking the right questions is important. Make sure they are fully certified and have extensive experience with cedar installations. Verify that their team is licensed, bonded, and insured. Ask for details about the materials they use, such as the type of underlayment and fasteners, and how they ensure proper ventilation. Getting multiple written estimates can help you compare options and choose a contractor who offers quality workmanship at a fair price.
