In spite of the corrosion and difficulty in removing the old fixture and installing the new one, Mr. Barrett never lost his patience and continued to work on the fixture at a time when most plumbers probably would have given up and tried to sell me lots of expensive new piping. Wait 24 to 48 hours after tiling before installing grout. This allows the thin-set adhesive to cure properly, ensuring a strong bond. Grouting too soon can cause misalignment and damage. If there's a delay, you can leave tiles ungrouted temporarily. Keep the surface clean and avoid foot traffic to prevent misalignment or cracking. This keeps your installation intact until you can grout.
