"Response was excellent. They have a long backlog so had to wait a while to get on the calendar... but as soon as I engaged them they had a team come over and create a temporary solution until they could make it out to put on the real roof. Once my roofing day arrived they had the entire re-roof complete in 1 day AND they removed all debris associated with the project. Fantastic company!"

"Terry and his crew came out in very cold weather and checked the roof over and proceeded to make minor repairs, get the moss off, and treat the roof. The roof may be good now, but when it’s not, or when we are ready to upgrade, we will call Ocean Park Roofing! It’s always a great day when we find a great business!"

"I am extremely happy with the work performed. They were on time, professional and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. The whole house, including new skylights, was done in two days as promised. From quote to getting the job done was ten days. The crew was also neat and tidy, cleaning up all debris. Most or all of the plywood was replaced along with my choice of the color of roofing shingles. They also used a drone to show the damage the weather had done to the old plywood and used the drone for all parts of the work! This was great as this was our beach house and we were unable to be on the job site."

"I found signs of mold on a wall in a home in Olympia that I rent out. It was built in 1972 and is surrounded by huge trees, so I was concerned that the visible mold was an indicator of a larger problem. I felt a special urgency because I had new renters moving in within the next two weeks. <br /> I found Clean Green Restoration through Angie's List and called them. The receptionist was extremely personable and helpful, and arranged an appointment for the next day. Melvin arrived at the house right on time. He listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each of them thoroughly and professionally. We walked all through the house, with me pointing things out and Melvin inspecting and testing. And all the while he was patient and personable and knowledgeable. After 30 minutes or so, I felt like I had a much greater understanding of different kinds of mold to look for, where and how it is likely to appear, and which types are toxic. Melvin concluded that I did not have a serious mold problem and told me how to treat the surface mold spots on the wall safely and effectively. <br /> Feeling very relieved (I was imagining hundreds or thousands of dollars of damage behind my walls), I asked Melvin if I should pay him for the house call then or wait for him to send me a bill. His answer? "No charge." <br /> While I did not require an estimate to remediate my mold issue, I have no doubt that the estimate would have been fair and the work would have been thorough and of the highest quality. <br /> <br />"

"I had specifically ask that I be home when the work was preformed. <br /> This did not happen.  I arrived home to find some the work had already been done.   <br /> The service man was sitting in his truck in my driveway.  Since this was not as I had requested I asked him to <br /> take a garden hose, spray that section of the roof to see for myself if that particular "fix" had in fact been completed. <br /> It appeared that he had done that. <br />  I asked him about the condition of the rest of the roof, because I will be selling my property in the future and wanted <br /> to be aware of any problems.    I was especially wanting a written report so I could show it to prospective buyers. <br /> I was NOT provided with any pictures or was I given a written report. <br />  Part of the package was for him to "check for interior leaks that may not be noticeable from the exterior of your home." <br /> THIS WAS NOT DONE. <br /> Because of the unfinished portion of the contract, I called LMJ Contracting on 11/4/2014 twice, leaving a message. <br /> I received a call back from "Howard". He said "Wayne" did the work and that he would talk to him and call me back. <br /> At that time Howard apologized for the "miscommunication" .  I did not hear back from him.  Because of a death of a friend I didn't call back until Nov. 17 and asked Howard when he would be coming back to finish the inspection, etc.  We scheduled 11/20, but he called and asked to reschedule.  Said he would call me on Nov. 24. <br /> This has been a very unsatisfactory situation with a contractor that was recommended by Angie's list.  Since I am a new member, I am now somewhat disappointed with something I thought would end well.  I'm a 71 year old widow, and have to rely on others for the repair of my home. <br /> I still have hope that Howard will complete what I paid for. <br />"

FAQs for roof cleaning service projects in Long Beach, WA

To find a reputable ice dam removal company, check verified customer reviews and ensure they have the proper credentials. Look at online testimonials and consult reputable agencies like the Better Business Bureau to validate their service record. Contact the company to ask about their experience, hourly rates, and safety practices. This helps ensure you're hiring a pro with proven expertise and a solid track record to protect your home from ice dam damage.

Ice dams can cause extensive damage that jeopardizes your entire roof structure. They can lead to issues like attic condensation, broken roof sheathing, persistent leaks, visible wall water stains, mold in your attic insulation, sagging drywall, rotting attic framing, and roof collapse. This damage compromises your home's integrity and requires immediate professional attention to ensure proper repair and safety.

Most insurance policies don’t include coverage for the removal of ice dams since it's considered preventive maintenance. However, damage caused by ice dams—such as roof collapse, extensive water damage, or structural failures—may be covered by your policy. It's a good idea to contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams. Use a proper roof rake from the ground or a safe ladder—never climb onto an icy roof. Also, consider addressing any inadequate attic insulation that may cause heat leakage. Promptly clearing snow minimizes risks and helps maintain a safe, durable roof.
