"Mark Brand asked all of the right questions and worked tirelessly with the city permit department to make sure everything we wanted to do would be approved. Beyond being amazing on the phone with the city, his design fit with our mid-century home and anyone who has seen it is amazed at the transformation of our small back yard. We started this project with Mark in 2019, long before COVID-19, and completed the major construction in October of 2020. The actual construction began in May 2020 with demo, to completion in October 2020. Mark and his staff were with us through the entire process, communicating with our Contractor and Pool installer and keeping everyone in the loop and on track. I had never worked with an architect before, and feel grateful that my first experience was with Mark Brand and his team. Fees are explained up front, and although the fees were a healthy part of our budget, I know I got what I paid for! Communication with email and phone calls, as well as site visits were always timely, with any issues explained and problems worked through and resolved to avoid delays."

"We hired Shilpa to design an addition and remodel to our existing house in Fremont and we had a wonderful experience working with her. She listened and understood our needs, and designed the house of our dreams in the limited area that we had. She gave us many different design options in the beginning and made many revisions as per our requests. She even helped us with the city permit process and made revisions as per city requirements. The final result turned out beautiful, she used every inch of the space and the addition looks very much part of the original house. "We chose Sami and Sons over 3 other contractors we interviewed with to remodel our bathroom, and we couldn't be happier. After meeting with Abel and Sami himself we discussed a very reasonable cost estimate for the work that needed to be done. Abel even took us out shopping to several tile and home improvement stores to fan our imaginations of what could be possible for our new bathroom. Throughout the entire process the staff from their front office to their onsite project manager Paul were always very responsive and helpful. This was our first major remodel and laborers were very knowledgeable about creating the bathroom we wanted to achieve while keeping up to date with building codes and city permits. Mario and Erick always asked us questions on how we wanted details in the bathroom to turn out. Always gave us suggestions when we were clueless, and always advised us properly when choosing fixtures and other materials for the build. It was very helpful and reassuring that the managers used the BuilderTrend scheduling app so we knew what tasks were to be completed and on what days so my wife and I could plan things ahead of time. There was a miscommunication about the work at one point, but once we were able to talk to the project manager and other managers on the job they were able to resolve the issue very quickly and to our satisfaction. Scheduling work per day could've been more efficient, but overall we loved the results and our bathroom turned out exactly the way we envisioned and we've been loving it ever since it's completion. "We did a full house remodel and addition with Sergiu and Annamaria at Best Construction. They are a wonderful team and the crew was great. They took our tiny 900 square foot house and reconfigured the walls on the interior and added 250 square feet with a new roof and new exterior. They changed our cramped space into a HOME! It was as if the flow of the house had changed from awkward cramped to what it was always meant to be. They best part was the use of space. We got to keep our big backyard while still feeling like we had loads new room. The whole process was actually pretty fast. We started our design with Annamaria and before we knew it we had plans and permits. I really appreciated having my own input and ideas taken into consideration by Annamarie. She understood my taste and helped me make decisions when I felt overwhelmed by the choices. I appreciated all the vendors and contacts she had for everything from tile, to windows, doors, etc. I never felt pressured to go out of my budget. Sergiu and the crew are great. They are approachable, professional, polite, hardworking, timely, and friendly. It was really great having most of the work done by the Best Construction crew. I had the same crew working on the project the entire time except for the occasional sub contractors that came though but they were managed well by Sergiu. Everyone I talk to is blown away at the integrity and timely fashion that this design and build firm had towards this project. I was warned things would go wrong but I have to say things went very smoothly and if we do it again it will be with Best Construction."
