"Brushworks did a wonderful job painting the exterior of my house and staining the pergola. Top notch communication, very professional painters, did a great job. The house looks gorgeous! They touched up additional areas as needed and removed an old direct TV dish. Overall, very pleased with my experience."

"We hired Paint-Tech Restoration to patch and paint the exterior of our house and garage, neither of which had received any TLC for decades before we bought it. We had large areas of peeling paint that had to be scraped, and chipped stucco that needed patching. Julian Ruiz and his team did the job admirably. They were punctual, courteous and professional, responsive to requests and attentive to detail. We knew we were being picky with some of the smaller repair work, but Julian indulged us with a smile. When rain held up the project for a day, they worked all weekend to catch up and finish the job. We can't recommend them highly enough."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Los Osos, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
