"David and his team did fantastic work. They worked so quickly, neatly and it looks great! Pricing was reasonable and the materials used were very good quality. We will definitely be getting quotes from David again for some landscaping and a patio cover."

"Wasser & Wasser is an out-of-town company for us.  We couldn't find a local landscape firm that was licensed and insured.  That was important to us because there were large branches overhanging our roof and also the main electric power lines.  We could see safety issues.   A representative came and gave us an estimate which, even though they would have to come about 90 miles with trucks, chipper, crew, etc.,  was about $200 less than a local company (non-insured) gave us the year before.   It took several weeks for us to get a set time because of everyone's schedules and Christmas/New Years holidays.  When they did give us a definite date they showed up on time.  We were completely satisfied with the work done, the professional manner, the clean up, well, just every aspect of the job.  We have another tree on the property that will probably have to come down in a few years and we will definitely call for Wasser & Wasser again.  I've been recommending the company to my friends and family.  <br />"

"We have done two projects with Southwest Vinyl, and have been very happy and satisfied with the results of both of them. They are very professional, and do high quality work. The fences came out beautiful and are very sturdy."

"Three small ocotillos ($195) were refused  as being greatly over-priced -- they were so very small that there was no need to pay anyone to plant them -- they could be done with a hand trowel.  Two little apricot trees ($290) were also refused as being overpriced, and with careless bark damage.   <br /> I had hoped to do a much larger project: trellises with grapes, raised garden, additional shrubs, along with some removal of dead material after the cold winter, etc.  His verbal estimates of some of the work were so high, that I found other people to do it, did it myself, or postponed it.  He was not eager to please the customer.  I was prepared to spend a substantial sum if I had found a responsive and knowledgeable provider. I was disappointed.   <br /> Mr. Korody may have been too busy to pay much attention to my project, I don't know.  He seemed very professional when he first came to talk, but didn't follow through well.  He seemed to have little knowledge of horticulture, and little feel for plant materials.  His promotional photos featured hardscaping, but we didn't get that far in my project, so I can't speak to his skills in that area. <br /> If we had had a productive working relationship, cost alone would not have deterred me from continuing with him.  I felt he was unresponsive, perhaps even dismissive, and I was concerned about his lack of interest and knowledge regarding plant materials.  If he hasn't completed the Master Gardener program, I would recommend it to him. I hesitated to do this review for some time, but I think it only fair to others to get it done.I'd like to put in a good word for the two young men who were actually doing the work.  They were hard-working, pleasant, and concerned with doing a good job."

"The owner, Earl Freeman, was an absolute godsend. Earl (who was referred to us by a neighbor after we put out a distress call) truly saved the day after an Albuquerque spray foam roofer did a terrible job with a new roof install and refused to fix it (even after 6 months of complaints filed with the City of Albuquerque, the NM Construction Industries Division, the NM Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau). With the utmost professionalism and general contractor know-how, Earl got our roof fixed and our home repaired...all on the bad roofer's nickel. How Earl worked that magic, we'll never know. All we DO know is that we will NEVER hire for a medium to large residential job, again, without tapping Earl Freeman, first. This guy is connected and knows how to do the job right! And, he will save you time and heartache from the outset. We are forever grateful to this man."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Los Alamos, NM

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
