"Charlie was very courteous and professional. He was able to come to our job in a very reasonable amount of time. He was very thorough in moving out a stack washer and dryer unit and cleaning all around, including the top of the stack , which I could never reach. He inspected our installation and recommended replacing the connecting duct work, which was leaking a lot of fuzz and dust. Then he went outside, climbed a ladder with equipment and cleaned all of the lint in the duct outside, by blowing it from the inside. He did the same with our other dryer on the lower level. "I got five estimates, as I was considering 3 different brands. A&L did have the lowest price (none of the brands I was considering were low-cost builder-grade brands, though). This is probably partly because they were the only one out of 5 contractors who did a full load analysis. Full load analysis is supposed to be industry standard but DOE estimates 80% of heat pumps are oversized. A&L recommended a half ton smaller unit than what we had before. None of the other contractors did this analysis (I know because they didn't measure or look at all the rooms), even when I specifically asked about sizing. The employees, from the sales rep to the technicians and the owner were all punctual, professional, and able to answer lots of questions. I would definitely recommend them and will be hiring them again when the other unit needs to be replaced."
