"Garry power washed, repaired, and painted the exterior of my two-story home. He also tore down an old upper deck, and cleaned and stained the remaining deck. Because the house is older and has wood siding, Garry ended up having to replace a lot of the wood panels, some of which are very long and high above the ground. He also repaired the wall under where the old deck was to make it look as though the deck was never there. This was a huge job, and Garry got it all done, and got it done right. The new panels were primed and painted, and the entire house got two coats of paint. I have received a lot of compliments on the house and I am extremely happy with the work he did. I highly recommend Garry for cleaning, repairing, staining, and painting!"

"I can’t believe there is still a contractor like George and NEM Home remodeling !!!! After working with so many over the years and always being disappointed we were blessed to find NEM. They repaired ceilings that had never been done right, retaped and plastered textured. Repaired walls that had not been taped right from the beginning and painted ceiling, walls, doors and trim. George and his crew were professional, diligent, on time and did an excellent big project. He made sure we were 100% satisfied. Thanks George!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Lowell, FL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
