"I will definitely recommend ADD Electric to my friends/family. The main thing is that I'm satisfied with the work that was done. Business was conducted professionally and Joe seems like a genuinely nice guy - not dismissive even though my job was fairly small. ADD will be my first call next time I need electrical work."

"The work really took a long time, they have to take all the cabinets down and bring them to their shop, I originally wanted it done before Christmas but they weren't able to finish and got the cabinets after the holidays had gone. But the laying of the tile for the bathroom was very well done and they did a very good on the tile work. I give an "A" Rating for the tile floor installation."

"I purchased 4 hours of service through the Arkansas Daily Deal.  When I called to schedule my service I was informed that the 4 hours of service I had purchased did not include going into the attic that there would be a minimum charge of $75.00 for that, therefore, I purchased  a led retrofit light from Home Depot so they would not have to go into the attic.  When he arrived he said that it would not work that he would have to install a new can light that he had on his truck and he would have to go into the attic to do so.  He charged me $48.00 for your basic can light and $75.00 additional labor.  Since I had already paid $99.00 it cost me $232.69 for your basic can light and about 45 minutes of labor.  I would never call them again.

"Zac helped me with some receptacle loss of power issues I was having in various locations in my home. After some initial testing and troubleshooting he was able to give me some probable cause scenarios and a quote for the repairs. Once he began work there were some minor job scope changes, but he still did his best to work with my budget. Repairs were made, work was clean and timely, and even better, affordable. He was professional and worked safely. I highly recommend Zac for your electrical needs and home projects. He told me he even does the occasional handyman work, and who doesnâ  t like a Jack-of-all-trades?! I definitely plan on having him help me with some of my future home improvement projects, because finding reasonably priced, quality tradesmen who do work you can trust is not always the easiest endeavor."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Mabelvale, AR

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
