"I called S and A Maintenance when I noticed some boards in the soffit under the roof of our old garage appeared to be rotting. We were informed that we needed a new roof which was no surprise. S and A was booked up in the fall but came out in December, replaced the rotten wood and completed the roofing job with no trouble. The roof has held up well. They also reserved some of the good boards for possible later repair of our 1905 house since boards of that size are no longer produced. I have used S and A multiple times for both small and large jobs, because I trust Dave to figure out what needs to be done on an old house and he always comes out to inspect the work afterwards. <br />"

"I had them install an egress window mid-July. I was pretty happy with the window. Late August we had the major rains and the window held up great. Unfortunately, the dirt they back filled sunk 1.5 feet down around the entire perimeter 2-3 feet out. This was not a complaint for me, it happens with back fill. What was a problem was that I sent dozens of texts and phone calls to empty promises to bring me more dirt for almost 2 months. Then suddenly they tell me they won't bring the dirt since they considered this "landscaping" which was not included in the contract, without even coming to see the extent of the issue. This was a backfill problem, NOT landscaping. They FINALLY conceded to bring dirt, but complained they'd have to rent equipment to get to the backyard. At this point I just said put it in my driveway and I'd move it. So, this past Saturday, I (at almost 50 years old) spent 5 hours moving a huge pile of dirt instead of the people with young men and machinery that I paid $6,000 to do the work. On top of that, they dumped the dirt across the entire front of my garage instead of to the side (2 car driveway), trapping my car in the garage until I finished moving the dirt. So, either they were being massive jerks about it, or just incredibly stupid."

"Sean's crews arrived on schedule as weather allowed and completed the work in the contract on a timely basis. There were no glitches in the excavation or the concrete work and framing began on time. The house was enclosed and roofed in a reasonable period of time, with one small window problem with the supplier. Sean's people worked with the supplier to remedy the problem in short order. The only other problem came when the electrical sub-contractor ran the underground service line to the wrong power pole at the road, and that problem was resolved with no additional expense to me. <br /> The remainder of finishing work was either done by my wife and me or we sub-contracted it to other firms in the area. Ours was an unusual situation and I do not recommend it to any one unfamiliar with construction. At the time we built, I had 20+ years experience in the field. <br /> After living in the house for five years, we have found no problems with the work in the Sean Adams contract and we would recommend them to any one building a home from scratch. <br />"
