"This is by far the best fencing company I have ever used. They showed up as scheduled they cleaned up before they left. They were very reasonably priced. Very professional workers. I would hire them again and recommend them alway and I have. Everyone who I referred has loved them."

"Vertex has completed more than one project for me but I especially want to mention the amazing job they did replacing the siding on my home. The whole process was smooth, communication was great and they kept everything clean from start to finish. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!"

"At least Mr. Woodward was honest that he could not fix the garage door opener.  You will pay for his time to get whatever he needs to repair your broken part(s), but he will do a good job on what he is contracted to do.  Think ahead to giving good description of what you wish him to do: I wanted him to repair the assembly on both bedroom closet doors--the one broken, the other, surely worn--but did not reiterate that when he arrived; therefore, he only repaired the one broken, and advised us to keep the package from the part, so that when the other broke, we would be able to buy what was needed.

"Gary and his crew were very polite, punctual, and professional. I highly recommend them to all my family and friends. We gave him a photo out of a Home and Garden magazine, and he exceeded our expectations with our dream fence. (7â tall horizontal design with horizontal lattice)."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Madison, CA

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
