"After speaking with the broker I was left thinking the vehicle would be delivered in FL in about 3 days or so which is how long it takes me to drive. It took a week during which I was unable to contact the company for updates during the weekend and had to extend my car rental. It was picked up in RI only one day beyond the target date. I paid an extra charge for expedited service but it turns out expedited refers to targeted pick up date; not delivery date which is in the fine print but not in telephone conversations. The driver was very careful with the car and very courteous."

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"Our energy company provided a free audit that revealed that the insulation in our walls was very low due to settling. They recommended a company, whom I called. They offered to dense-pack gaps for the walls, attic and the space between the first and second floor for around $7,500.
I called Momper, who gave a bid for the same service, for under $5,000. The salesman explained that this was a and quot;worst caseand quot; price, assuming the walls were completely empty. Since there was some insulation, he said the price would likely be less. He even gave me a rule of thumb, just to give me an idea, but explained he could not nail it down because they can't tell how much insulation actually exists in the walls. After the service was performed, the actual bill was for under $2,000. It was a very pleasant surprise.
The actual insulation is made of recycled newspaper. It is a very good insulator and makes great use of what would otherwise be a waste product.
The service was completed in about five days. The technician removed pieces of siding, drilled a hole, filled the space with insulation, and replaced the siding. By all appearances, we would not otherwise know any work had been done.
While the coldest days have yet to come, we have noticed a big difference. When the heater runs, it stays warm, long after the fan has stopped. Previously, it ran almost continuously, even in moderate temperatures.
I am very pleased with this service and would recommend Momper to anyone who needs insulation.
"

"I chose this company because they'd done a neighbors' concrete and they were pleased with the experience and the sealant that was used doesn't change the appearance like most do.
When I first contacted them they were booked ahead with big jobs. They could get to me by mid-June, but would fit my job in earlier if possible. They did, several weeks earlier.
They cleaned my driveway, personal walk and patio, public sidewalk, and curb. Special care was given to the highly dirty/mildewed areas. I pointed out some decorative border stones and a repaired area that would be fragile and he took care to not damage those (or anything else).
They discussed whether the water-based or solvent-based sealant would be better given the age of my concrete (and the tendency to mildew). The solvent-based was used with special attention to those areas prone to mildew.
They kept me well-informed re: what was being done and what I can expect going forward.
I'm LOVING the clean look and also seeing water just bead up on top!!
I didn't give an 'A' re: price, but it may have been competitive re: what I had done and the products/tools used. I hadn't gotten any other prices since I knew I wanted them to do it."

"I contacted Randy via Angie's list by email. He called that same day (Sunday) and we scheduled an estimate for Monday. The pricing was more than we wanted to pay, so we agreed to do pay half now and reschedule the other half to be done at a later time. He started immediately. No project has ever gone smoothly at my house with all of its little quirks. Randy got more than he bargained for. The bathroom light was his first obstacle. It was a bear for him. We had to make a trip to Lowe's to get supplies when he found the exterior vent to be non-existent. Installing this light took two days to complete.
The second day was installing the vent, outlets, and some exterior lights. More was done the second day. He ran into more trouble with the ceiling fan as the contractors who built the patio didn't allow access. He had tear part of our ceiling out to access roof and run a line across the porch. He did not expect this extra labor and this was completed on the third day. He installed the kitchen light but the motion sensor did not work. This was discouraging since the fact that the original light was broken was the whole reason we called an electrician in the first place. He considered the job done and thought we'd just need to buy a new light (the dials on the new light seemed to be broken). It was assumed that it was an easy fix for us to do. The wires for the light were behind the wall with a small access hole in the wall that you had to crawl through (told you our house was quirky). My husband, in trying to fix the same light, had to crawl back there and worked for 1.5 hours and finally got the light's sensor to work. However, he said it was a rat's nest of wires back there and that Randy would have to rewire with a junction box. Obviously, additional charges would have to be paid He came out again and charged us $235 to fix this.
The only things we wish could be different is: 1. The agreement to do half now and then half later was not feasible. The $600 worth of work and labor only fixed a few things partially. It was impossible to delay finishing the work for another day as it was half done. We had to go ahead and get it all done and pay for it all at once. 2. The motion sensor in the kitchen was technically not correct at first completion. And then we had to call him again to try and fix it and the wires. This price ($235) seemed a little excessive but I do understand it was more of a troubleshooting problem and that it was in an extremely difficult spot to get to.
The great things about Randy: He was willing to work right away and was very conscientous cleaning up after his work every day. He also got into more than what he expected on several projects. The projects (exhaust fan and ceiling fan) were more extensive and labor intensive than what he was expecting. Regardless of the hardship, he stood firm at his quote. He did not charge us extra even though others would have. That was wonderful because I know the bill would have been much higher if he had known what he was getting into. He doesn't cut corners and we know the things he fixed were done correctly. We would definitely hire him again (but he may not want to take the job!). :-)
"
