"The auto transport service provided by United Freight of America is an A+++ organization! I reserved the covered auto transport truck and boy, is that truck fancy! It has lifts that raise and lower to load your vehicle inside, to keep it clear from the elements. I needed them to transport my deceased brother's vehicle to me in Texas- that car is my heart now as my brother cherished it so! I needed a quality company- one that I could trust and most of all, rely on to get the vehicle to me in pristine condition. They did just that! And, I don't want to forget the Driver as well as he could not have been more professional. I HIGHLY recommend this auto transport company. I don't know that I have seen a classier auto transport company. Call them :-)"

"Different crews of 2 did each door...they did a good job on the entry door except for putting shims under door to level it for closing and not doing any insulating around shims. Company owner came in early 2013 after I had gone to H.D. in search of caulking...there was quite a bit of cold air coming in under door and my husband could actually see daylight. Home Depot salesperson said they would contact installation company, as it was under warranty. Owner came and caulked inside and out, and then returned again in warmer weather to check caulking and see if it needed anything additional. <br /> As far as storm door installation, all went very well.  I am happy with the jobs done, now that the caulking has been added. <br /> Only other negative is that the touch-up paint for exterior and interior of entry door was not left for us...we called company and were told that the owner had it in his truck and would drop it off. That did not happen, so Home Depot ordered new touch-up paints for us. <br />"

"Design Your Basement is an amazing service that's helping us finish our basement, so that our family can enjoy our entire house. The design process was fast and seamless. The team at Design Your Basement provides great customer service and helped us identify design opportunities that we never would have thought to include. Not long after contacting Design Your Basement, the professionals were there to measure our basement. In no time at all, they had design ready for our review, which was based on our feedback. We enjoyed our design presentation meeting and it was easy to make the changes we wanted from the initial draft design. In addition, the 3D walk-through made it easy to envision how the basement will look before anything was done. Contractors from Design Your Basement are now helping us with framing and consulting with us on DIY portions of the project. We strongly recommend Design Your Basement."

"I received an elevator kit and assembled it myself. The instructions were OUTSTANDING! Clear, concise, comprehensive. Hired someone to cut the hole in the garage attic floor and installed it myself."

"We used Gunner Roofing to install James Hardy siding on our home. We looked at many local contractors and no one came close to their professionalism! If we could give them 10 stars we would. They made sure we fully understood all of our options and what exactly the contract included. Andrew walked us through the design phase and make sure we had exactly what we wanted to achieve our goals. Then we started working with Anthony who walked us through every aspect of the construction and we fully understood each part of the project and there were no surprises. He kept us fully up to date and sent many photos as they worked, he was always available to answer any questions! The men working on our house were great they took every precaution necessary to keep everyone safe and paid such close attention to detail! Everything is absolutely perfect. Honestly, the attention to detail was excellent and they added beautiful trim that we weren't even expecting them to do! They by far exceeded our expectations! Come see! 21 Everett Street in Rye!"

"I have hired ProCo Construction for several jobs and have been pleased each time. They are courteous and professional. If there is a problem, they take care of it (and this only happened once). They repaired my porch roof, installed soffit and fascia, installed a door and basement windows. I've always been pleased. Dave gives you a written contract so there are no mix-ups and is clear on his pricing. This is a busy company so keep that in mind if you schedule them. It was never a problem for me as I never had a job that had to be done right away."

"The most recent inspection was actually the second home I had inspected by Troy. The first one I was interested in had major structural and foundation issues. I went with Troy on the first inspection and it was an eye opening experience. He could look at joists or a door frame, point out where it was not square, explain where the stress was coming from and what caused it. (In this case, the front corner of the house was sinking into the hillside.) He saved me from buying a lovely house that had a large number of serious and expensive problems. The issues were documented in a pdf report in writing and with photos. <br /> The second house also received a thorough going over and the few major issues were identified. It takes 48 hours to receive the formal report but I asked for a brief list of the major issues so that we could move forward with the seller. Troy sent a quick response to this request which included that the central air was not working. The seller quickly had a service person recharge the central air unit and we were able to move forward toward closing. <br /> The report is easy to read with major concerns listed first, followed by needed repairs and improvement suggestions for each category. <br /> I found Troy to be a pleasure to work with, he is very easy-going and professional and I trust him implicitly. <br />"

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Marietta, OH

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
