He completed our entire back wall plus the side walls on both sides of our property in just two days, and the finished work was exactly what we wanted. He arrived on time, worked steadily throughout the day, and cleaned everything up when he was finished. Beyond the quality of his work, William was personable, professional and, in my experience, very honest—which I truly appreciated. Our wall looks great, the job was completed quickly, and our expectations were definitely met. "Having managed dozens of renovations over the years, both commercial and residential, I can say that Joe Messineo is the best contractor I have ever hired, in any craft. No minor distinction. A 3rd generation master stone mason, Joe is an old school modern craftsman who produces quality builds. I engaged him to demolish and rebuild virtually all of the hardscape at my home---driveway, side walkways, French drain, brick patio inserts, and over 150 feet of retaining walls. A 7-week job, with more than a few moving parts. Joe’s team, Enrique and Claudio, worked like stunt men in a choreographed manner, carefully removing thousands of pounds of old concrete and cinder blocks, positioning rebar and framing the sites for cement. The worksite was clean and orderly at the end of each day. Then, 2 generations of Messineo---Joe, with a guest appearance by his father, built a complex series of retaining walls and brick inserts, that will clearly last decades longer than the original work from 1959. Every line dead-level, every elevation plumb, and every surface finished perfectly. The concrete team that completed the job with 2 truckloads of wet mix, delivered flawless slabs of new surface. Their overall level of craftsmanship and professionalism is not often to be seen these days, and it deserves recognition when it arrives."

Amit and Josef recommended aluminum framing with insulated roof panels, which ultimately proved to be a perfect solution. The structure measures nearly 40 feet and is securely tied directly to the side wall of our home. They use thick posts and spaced them out for visibility while still blocking enough noise. Every seam was sealed tight. You can tell this wasn?t a light job?they brought the right crew and gear. I?d hire them again for any large patio construction project."

"G&L had quite a job in front of them when looking at our backyard renovation. It was old, taken over by trees, full of weeds almost 5 feet tall, and terrible old concrete! They completely TRANSFORMED this into a beautiful, modern, and economic space. They deserve credit for TWO projects because our dismantling the first was difficult. We had three major trees stumps which were very hard to remove, and required all knew drainage and plumbing. They were able to make the trees look as if they never existed, and implemented a draining system that channeled out into our front lawn. Our front lawn looks as if they were never there. The attention to concrete, planter walls, surrounding walls, and the additional fence was very detailed, and they did a fantastic job creating a two level planting structure where one did not exist. The design process was fun and easy with Mike and Dee, and we really appreciate the automatic watering/ lighting system they put into place (which we didn't even ask for!). We relied on their expertise, and they created a wonderful open and sophisticated space where we love to host friends and family!"
