"Clifford designed a beautiful patio that he did for me over two years (due to the expense).  The first summer (2013) they did the hardscaping.  They put in the patio, and two beautiful seating wall areas.  One that provided privacy from the neighborhood and the other privacy for the hot tub area.  The next summer (2014) was the landscaping.  Clifford and crew came back and put in several trees and shrubs to provide more privacy, and gave the patio area a really professional polished look.  We have it built into the "plans" that he could come back yet again and put lighting into the seated walls, and space to include an outdoor kitchen.  It is nice that Clifford is able to develop a design that can be added to over time.  His crew is super nice and helpful!  Gabe was his right hand man on parts of my project, and he is wonderful to work with too.  I have highly recommended Richmonds Landscaping to everyone who has asked me who has created my beautiful outdoor living area. <br />"

"Forever Green did a professional job. They provided architectural plans with the overall layout of the wall and landscaping. They selected landscaping that met our requirements and assisted us in selecting a retaining wall brick that we liked. They completed the project in about a week. After the work, they reseeded and covered the grass that was driven over or covered during the construction. This last bit was an unexpected plus as I did not ask for it and they did not specify it in their quote The project manager emailed me daily during the project to keep me up to date and solicit my input during construction. <br /> I called three contractors for proposals and Forever Green was the only one who came out to my place to provide an estimate and plan. Two others I called (one recommended by two professional landscapers) never showed up to give me a quote. I made these contacts in June when everyone was busy. As such, we had t wait 8 weeks for Forever Green to get us into their schedule. <br /> I gave Forever Green a and quot;Band quot; on price because they did go over their original budget by $1,400. They were professional in their request and we did negotiate the overage. I suppose I did not have to pay anything over the original proposal . I did end up agreeing to pay for the extra materials but not the labor, which I thought was a fair compromise since they did the work so well. As I had no other quotes, I cannot compare this cost to any other bids. <br /> In the end, my wife and I love the retaining wall and landscaping. We enjoy the additional space it gives us. The brick we chose is beautiful, especially with the landscape lighting we have since added. I recommend Forever Green and would hire them again. <br />"

"It went without a hitch. Brad A. worked with us on possible solutions through five estimates. When we decided what we wanted, it was done quickly and professionally. They were here and gone in under six hours--on a Saturday, no less. This was a small job, so I have trouble getting other hardscapers to even pay attention. I happened on ADR in an internet search, and I'm glad I did."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Marion, IA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
