"Exterior paint for 1,500 sq ft single story house. Contractor provided an estimate site unseen. The estimate was very high, which was OK if a follow up site visit would result in a more accurate estimate based on measurements. I provided pictures of the house as requested. Got a revised, slightly lower estimate, still very high. Finally got them to set up an appointment but once they found out I had another painter also coming to provide an estimate they said they weren't coming out to measure but would do the job at the significantly higher price already provided."

This was a difficult job - 3 story house, bevel cedar siding and shakes, steep roof covered in solar panels, multiple gables, 4 different colors.
