"I hired homelife for a recent roof replacement. I went with them because of Ray who seemed like a genuine guy and wasn't pushy about making a sale. So everything was going well until I received a call from the owner of the company who reported that I needed 14 pieces of wood replaced. 14 x 50 is roughly $700 more than I budgeted. I do appreciate the call but I personally felt that 14 pieces of wood being replaced is a bit excessive. The second issue is that they replaced my skylight, and when I walked in my living room every piece of wood an nail from the replacement was on my sofa and actually damaged my sofa. I should ask for reimbursement for a new sofa to counter balance the additional wood cost. I had to shampoo my sofa due the the dirt that fell from the roof. The second issue is that the workers should have used a magnet to pick up the nails, instead they used a leaf blower to blow the nails on the grass. So I had to do an additional sweep of my driveway which I found several nails on the driveway and my back patio. So I guess they would like me to get a new roof and new tires. No my I'm afraid my niece playing in my yard, before she falls and slips on a nail left by this company. The roof looks nice yes, and I wont take away from the quality of work that that they did. But please be careful in your cleaning up practice and making sure you leave the home the way it was before you leave."
