"My wife and I purchased a new home built by Larry Gilliam Construction in July, 2011. The house is well-built, lots of great extras, built-in cabinets, crown moulding, etc.  Part of the contract to purchase the house included putting in a sodded lawn.  Well, from day one this lawn has been a nightmare!  First, it was overwatered to the point that whole sections of sod along our front walk had rotted and weeds were growing in it.  The soil underneath the sod was not raked to make it smoother.  Instead, there were spaces between pieces of sod and when you mow the lawn your mower bounces all around leaving you with an unevenly cut lawn.  The side and back yards were sodded like  checker board.  I was told by Larry Gillam that the lawn would grow and fill in the bare spots.  The weeds filled them in first.  And the unsodded squares are lower than the sodded parts, so again your mower is cutting the lawn unevenly. <br /> I recommend having Larry Gilliam build you a new home, but implore you do NOT have him put in your lawn.  You will regret it. <br />"
