"What started out with a ridge vent repair ended up with a complete roof replacement all due to wind damage which I couldn't see or know of from the ground. Wind damaged the vent and then some. A claim was filed with our insurance company. They approved the claim. Lucas did all the leg work with the insurance company which was a big relief for me. Did not have to initiate any phone calls. Installation came and went in one day. 40 square job. The crew didn't miss a step. Job well done, including clean up of all debris AND NAILS. Working with Lucas was a pleasure. No pressure. Very straight forward with everything. As I said it was a big job and well done! Glad I had them do the work. Very very pleased."

"Very satisfied with cost and workmanship.  Original contact was to repair wind damage on shingled roof.  Unlike other roofing contractors I contacted, the response was fast.  The 40 plus years of experience showed as the temporary repair was done immediately without any hassle of cost.  The cause of the wind damage was shown and explained as improper nailing of shingles. To my surprise it was suggested, that because of a current materials special, it would be more cost effective to install a new metal roof over the old shingles rather than replacing the old shingles.  A new metal roof, with all of its advantages, cheaper than new shingles!
I said I was interested, and they took a lot of measurements.  A couple days later I received an estimate via E-mail. I also asked about financing.  The only option was  like a credit card application (5% up front and high interest after 1 year).  After working out alternative financing from my bank, I then responded via E-mail to proceed.  They came out again and made more measurements. They wanted advanced payment for the materials with final payment upon completion.
A couple weeks later the new metal roof install began.  It was a three man crew, they worked professionally, took their time and did it right.  The weather caused multiple delays extending the work over about 3 weeks.  The new roof is impressive, several people stopped by to ask for name of contractor.

"After receiving estimates from three local contractors, we decided to go with AMB. They were not the cheapest quote, but I liked the personal touch that Charlie, one of their job managers, was able to provide. He came to write up the estimate at night, when I could be present to talk to him. The other two estimates I received were done at the contractor's convenience, and were left in my front door. 
The work started when they said it would and they were done with the roofing within 1.5 days, and the gutters came a few days later. At one point of the job, the crew had run into rotted sheeting caused by improper insulation installation, and Charlie called me at work to come take a look at the problem before they proceeded to fix it. I really appreciated this, since I was actually able to see the problem that required repair,  rather than just taking their word for it and forking over an additional $1k when the job was over for a problem I never got to see. 
The crew cleaned up around the house very well - I still find small bits of shingle while landscaping, but this is probably unavoidable with any roofing job. The gutter install went smoothly, and I am very happy with my new oversized downspouts (no more cleaning out clogs). 
Overall, I am very happy with the work AMB did on our house, and would hire them in the future for any other renovations that come up.

"In October I talked to this company who came over the same day to look over the prospective job.  The Contractor, the owner of the company, was very pleasant and  processional.  We settled on the price and he wanted half down which I paid him via check.  Since then he has called several times to inform me about delays in getting to my project due to other commitments he had but kept promising he would be over soon.  However, since the middle of November I have not heard from him and wondered if
he was actually coming.  Well just after I wrote this in November he called and came over the next day.  He apologized  and gave me a
discount on the price of the work due to the delay which I thought was very fair.   During the work he found several problems mainly with the lack of water shutoff valves.  He patiently explained the need to install them and the cost involved.  Other problems related to how the house was inadequately constructed were explained and repaired with my consent and supervision.  At the end of it all the work was done courteously, with attention to detail, professionally, and with something I find lacking in today's society, exceptional craftsmanship. I highly recommend this company to all who wish quality work done on their homes.
