"I had repairs made to the lights and outlets installed in my attic, new fan and recess lights installed in my bedroom, and dimmers installed around my home. The work was meticulous. Every step was explained to me in a way that I could understand and make an informed decision. As a woman, I felt respected and as a client, I felt appreciated. Such a great experience. Highly recommend."

"We met with Alex just before doing demo work on our house. He was a real pleasure to deal with and his price was within our budget. <br />On his first visit Alex and his crew installed the tv wall mount, a new wall outlet for the mount, installed a closet light with wall switch, changed out 10 outlets, connected the wiring for a ceiling fan to run off a wall switch, and re-wired an outside breaker box. <br />As our work progressed they came back on another visit to run the wiring for new appliances and kitchen lights as well as install ceiling mounts for ceiling fans and receptacles for the high hats. Have to give the second group credit because our basement was a death trap of boxes and such but they were completely ok with manuevering through our belongings. <br />The next 2 visits included the installation of the pendant lights, high hats, ceiling fans, kitchen outlets, and wiring of appliances. All of the visits between the first and last were different electricians but they were always courteous and happy to explain certain things. <br />On the final visit, Alex installed the under cabinet lighting, re-positioned an island outlet that had to be moved, and fixed one of the ceiling fans that was wobbling. <br />If there were any issues with the work, it was with the billing. We inquired several times for a receipt of payment after doing so, which we didn't receive. When we finally did, it did not include the additional work we asked for nor the money we had already paid. It wasn't until ACA brought in a new office manager that the issue was corrected. <br />ACA was great and we highly recommend them. <br />"

"I hired GINA ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE to: 1) Install an outdoor outlet 2) Replace an existing outlet on the side of my house. Sal and another technician came to my house and before they started, I made a point to say that I have in-ground sprinklers and to please be careful, you can guess to where this will lead. The work was done and they did a great job, but in the process of digging the trench for the outdoor power line leading to the outlet, two different sprinkler pipes were hit. One was kinked and the other was cut and there is water that is slowly dripping out. The gentleman who was doing the work told me what happened and he shut off the water at the sprinkler control box. He apologized repeatedly and I told him I wasn’t angry at him. Hey things happen but I expected GINA ELECTRICAL to bear some sort of responsibility. I called their office and spoke to a woman named Annmarie. She was fairly rude and insulting. She stated multiple times that they can’t possibly see through the ground to know when’re the pipes are. I was super nice to her. I told her that I wasn’t looking to start a fight and I just wanted to discuss what can be done. Here’s the Insulting part, she then says to me “what do you want? You want money!?” That statement was uncalled for. It just came off crass. I told her that I did think that some sort of compensation was due. Then she spoke to the technician who did the work and then I spoke to Sal. Sal told me the same thing about not being able to know where the pipes are under the ground. But Sal has a much nicer demeanor. I'm not writing this review to see this company burn to the ground. They did good quality work and the outlets look great and function. But to absolve themselves from any wrongdoing doesn’t really sit well with me. Not only am I now left with paying to repair the damage myself, but the sprinkler company can’t come out until the beginning of July. So now I can’t water my lawn for at least a couple of weeks. This is just creating a hassle that I didn’t expect at all. I really hope it rains for the next two weeks."

"AVA Electrical and Lighting Services were excellent. Lucas came to our home and explained what he proposed and explained why once we told him what we needed and why. Because of our project we knew, up front, there would be some delay. He gave us a fair price and installation date. Through no fault of his there were some delays which did not surprise us. At all times he kept us appraised of the status of the job calendar. Along the way he received a reduction of price the materials were going to cost him and, honestly, passed them on to us. His work was clean, neat and efficient. I would highly recommend his company and use him again should the need arise."

"We've been using John of Carapella Electric for years. As usual the job was done perfectly, neatly and it was priced fairly. We re-did our basement and had all new outlets installed and LED lighting. He also installed and wired our standby generator."

"Arranged appointment for the next week, said they would call if appointment cancelled. They had a cancellation and came earlier then originally arranged, great. Arrived promptly. Spent total of maybe 15 - 18 mins to test & repair, nothing major. Taped up burnt neutral wire on burnt outlet, screwed back on, screwed 2nd outlet back on the wall, no repair necessary. Told them on original call I found them through Angies List at the $96 price point, asked if I should pay through site, didn't really say yes or no, assumed they would honor the advertised price. Charged $180.00, almost twice the advertised price & didn't need to supply any parts, except for 20-25 cents worth of electrical tape, since I already bought 2 replacement outlets and put the rear outlet on myself. $180.00 is an Extraordinary! amount to pay to tape a neutral wire, screw back on & not at the price advertised on Angies List. Technician was prompt, pleasant, knowledgeable. But $180.00 to tape a neutral wire and turn 4 screws, that's not something I ever expected. Didn't have to put the plates back on either, since I was going to buy new ones. I'm ex-phone company so I am familiar with underground cables and housing wiring on a large scale. Didn't want to buy new tester to repair a single outlet and wanted someone familiar with Levitt wiring. To pay $180.00 was disturbing and shocking.. Will be more careful in the future."

"Luigi and his people did an excellent job adding sprinklers and repairing the existing ones, and the price is very reasonable. Luigi is the most honest contractor I've ever encountered, he only charged me half the price others has quoted me (I did not tell him the price quoted me by the other contractors), I definitely will hire him again."
