"We called them as we had a leak- they’d installed our roof about 3 years ago. They came out and turns out the issue was a furnace pipe, nothing roof related and nothing they’d put in. However, they went ahead and adding some sealant to the pipe to try to fix it. They came out, looked at it and fixed something they didn’t need to all free of charge."

"They have a favorable AL rating so I started this process by calling this company for an estimate. I was contacted by Jim Howell, their roof inspector/ evaluator. He met with me promptly and did the inspection by getting up on the roof and gave me the estimate within 2 days. Jim also came back here a second time to meet my husband (my request) so he would have a better understanding of our roof's condition and why it should be replaced. Samples of roofing materials were brought here to determine sytle and color.
Although generally I always obtain multiple quotes from various providers I did not seek more in this case. I was so impressed by Jim Howell's explanations, courtesy, and demeanor that we went ahead with this company.
It was supposed to be a 2 all-day job. Unfortunately day #2 turned out to be a rainy day and they had to suspend working. (a Friday).
Because the crew needed to get the job done due to weather changes they came back and worked on Sunday, all day and finished!
Replacing a roof is extremely messy and Noisy! and the crew did a wonderful job of picking up nails, shingle debris, and blowing and sweeping. The crew was extremely careful throughout not damaging our bushes, lawn, and landscaping in general which I had requested before we signed the contract.
Jim also gave me some advice to repair mortar in several areas on the facade of our home. I appreciated that.
Our roof is very attractive and we know our home is protected for many years to come.
The only reason I gave a B on the Cost is because I did not obtain other bids so I couldn't compare with other companies.

"They were on time and did the job good. I did not have no roof sealant put on. The strip on roof was rising up and I knew that was abnormal. They fixed it!! The only thing I think it was a little pricey for fixing that peice. But the job was done and the roof looks a 100% better."

"The crew was very friendly and explained what they would be doing.  While they were here, they noticed that one of our gutter junctions wasn't adequate for the amount of water coming off the roof, so they installed a diverter to keep the water in the gutter (rather than overflowing).  They also applied bleach and gently washed our vinyl awning, which turned out great!  And they bleached and washed our front sidewalk for free.  I will definitely use them again!

"Derek came out to the house around 10am on Wednesday, He was up on the roof in less than two minutes and started working. He removed all of the old flashing around my chimney and completely rebuilt it and sealed it. Looks much better than before. He then ripped out three places on the roof where some of the plywood beneath the shingles was water damaged and need replacing. He installed new ice and water shield in those areas an re-shingled the area. Derek took down an old satellite dish that was long past any service contract. He sealed all of the penetration's from any hardware used to secure the dish to the roof and hauled the old unit away. He replaced a lot of various flashing around the roof and only adjusted the flashing in other areas. Sealed all the exposed nails on the entire roof. Where there were any vents on the roof for sewer gases, ventilations form the range, bathroom ventilation fans, attic venting fans: He completely removed them, shingles and all, then he installed new ice and water shield, replaced the flashing, re-shingled them, and completely sealed around each vent. Derek worked from the time he arrived until he put his ladder back on the truck. He even went around and blew off my driveway and my deck. Really, beyond what was quoted. He was knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, and didn't leave anything behind. I couldn't have had a better experience with a roofer. I would hire Skyview Roofing again without hesitation.
