"We contacted two companies that repair concrete. The only thing they wanted to do was tear out the entire porch and replace the concrete. One told us we needed to contact some type of handyman to brace up the roof because they do not do that. I contacted Handyman Connection who sent out Steve. He suggested patching the bad spot then covering the entire porch with an epoxy coating. He would use a color that complemented the rest of the house. He used Olympic Rescue It.
He explained how the Handyman Connection works. They only provide labor  and we were responsible for materials. He would go to Lowes to pick up the proper stuff. They then called us for a credit card number. 
What he suggested was exactly what I thought should be able to be done. After talking to Steve for over an hour I could tell he knew what he was doing. He carved the blue whale at the zoo which he could not figure out  why they wanted it since they do not have any whales. 
He coated the entire porch to below the soil line and ran a thick bead of sealant around where there porch connected to the house.
The color really looked good.
Steve is in high demand so you may need to wait a few weeks for him to get to you.

"I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for $99.00 which was for only the walls of the room.  I decided to have the all of the other areas i.e. trim, doors, ceiling painted also and purchased the additional service from Protect and Preserve to be performed when the walls were painted.
Mr. Sperback and his team arrived at 8:00 am just as he said they would do.  He and his team were very courteous and professional.  Mr. Sperback confirmed the work that would be performed prior to beginning the job.
I am very happy with the result.  He and his team are very detail oriented.  Rather than taping around the door knob, they removed and reinstalled it after the door was painted.  The room was completely finished within about 4 hours.  They cleaned up everything prior to leaving so one would ever know anyone had been here to paint that day unless aware that I had it done then.
I am very pleased with the work Mr. Sperback and his team performed and am working with him to have other painting performed this summer.
I'd like to add that I had to reschedule the painting a couple of times.  Mr. Sperback was always understanding and willing to reschedule to another time.  I would highly recommend Paint and Preserve Painting to any one thinking of having any painting performed.

"He was cheaper than Johnson. He was willing to negotiate the price. He powerwashed everything and he scraped off the old paint. He used a superior quality paint. They did two coats, one with primer. They gave us a crew where one of the members of the crew knew how to do carpentry, and he replaced some boards that were not in good shape. We were very appreciative of all that he did. He did a lot of little extra things for us that really weren't included at no charge. He was just excellent. We thought that we were going to have to go around and get all the cobwebs off, and they said that they'd take care of that with their cleaning. They removed our flower boxes. They did a tremendous amount of work for us. They gave us the Angie's List 5% discount. There was an area where we thought it was going to look better than it did, and they came back and fixed it. They sanded it down, and they filled it in with a filler and made it really look good, because it would have cost us a whole lot of money to replace all the panels. They made it look very nice. We had negotiated to do our front and our back door in the color that it had been before, and after they painted the lamp post and the mail box, we thought our doors might look good in the color that those were painted. We asked if that would be possible, even at this late date, and they said yes. They brushed instead of spraying. That's important. I thought it was well done."

"Our front door had been damaged by an attempted break-in for years and was getting progressively worse. We were pretty much unable to open it some days last winter. The salesperson that came out was friendly and well-informed. He went through all of our options and we decided on both a new front door and a new sliding glass door to the patio. The front door had many options that we went through which included the style of the door, the inside and outside colors and the style of the windows on either side of the door. He provided us with a quote which we accepted and he gave us what turned out to be a very accurate timeframe of when the doors would be installed. As we waited for the doors to be installed, Bee Window kept us apprised of where we were in the process and we worked out a couple areas in which there were questions. Installation day was scheduled and the installers arrived on time. It took a few hours for both doors to be installed. Before leaving, the installer guided me through opening and locking both doors and answered any questions that I had. They did a great job cleaning up the mess, both inside and outside of the house. The only negative I had with the entire process is that I felt that the price was a bit high. But after having the doors, and especially the new front door, I am more satisfied with this purchase than any other home improvement purchase I have made over the past 20+ years. The door is fantastic -- it closes properly and keeps the sound out and has zero gaps and looks absolutely beautiful."
