"He did a phenomenal job. It was just one guy doing our entire inside of the house kitchen living room family room three bedrooms two baths and closets. He did an exceptional job and got this all done in a matter of 2 weeks including base and shoe and doors. I would highly recommend them to do your work!"

"John is not an ethical person. He doesn't care about the client or the job, only wants to make sure he covers his butt. For my job he actually hired a handyman! John is not a handyman. He's all about writing up the contract and buying the materials. He planned to finish trimming out a window in a shower using wood, with no water proofing. I googled some waterproof solutions, but because they were more complicated and intense, he wanted out. Do not hire this guy, he could care less about you and your project!"

"I was very satisfied with the work he did. He was very professional and kept me informed on which days he would come and work outside, weather permitting. Two of my neighbors have also hired him after seeing how good of a job he did at my house."

"I wanted to get my house painted, wood stained and a couple leaks in the ceiling fixed. I reached out on Angi where they recommended MNM. I'm really happy that I decided to go with them. They have really good reviews and I saw some of their pictures on their website. Guillermo was super responsive and they started the project within days. I've lived in this house for 10 years and have done nothing with these walls so they had a lot of work to do. I'm so extremely happy with the outcome. They transformed this house. Guillermo and Sammy were both so kind and professional. If I had anything that I noticed that needed a touch-up Guillermo came back in about a week and fixed everything. Very trustworthy, Great price and extremely professional. They will be my go-to for any painting projects moving forward. Thank you both so much for all your hard work! "

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Mchenry, IL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
