"I will say up front that if the owner had at least acknowledged the email I sent her to provide feedback about my installation, I wouldn't be writing this review. But she did not, so..... If you are simply looking for a straight, sturdy fence at a reasonable price, then you will get that from this company. For the most part I am happy with my fence, and the overall experience of working with this company. Customer assistance from the office staff (Ashley) was excellent, and the crew that installed the fence was professional, respectful, and courteous. However, if you value attention to detail and good craftsmanship as much as I do, then I would look elsewhere. It is for that reason that I rated them as only fair. A few examples of what I mean.... inconsistent picket widths; numerous nails missing their mark; pickets not properly fastened; inconsistent post-to-post section widths; and quality of wood used could have been much better. Unfortunately I would not hire them again for those reasons."

"Southern Specialty has been great to work with. Steve and Caroline represent the company well. Angela in the office is very good at keeping in touch with updates and can answer any questions. The employees that do the repairs are very nice, prompt, and respectful. Chad and Theo are great! I don't know everyone else's name, but they are great too. Rod, the owner is very hands on and keeps projects moving. The results are quality and up to code. Rod pays attention to detail and makes sure the job is done right. Rod is also knowledgeable about insurance companies and what they need. I would definitely hire this company again and have already referred them to my friends in need of major repairs."

"Hail damage occurred in March of this year and I contacted Braswell Construction as well as 2 other local roofing companies. Chris Gaugler contacted me asap and came out to the house. The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Chris Gaugler was onsite and available for questions anytime to the very end. The crew only took one day to do the house, extended 4 car garage and well house. Photos attached and it really makes a difference."
