"I have used the services of CES for several electrical needs Iâ ve had. I have always felt he was fair, honest and professional. One area that means a lot to me is that Charlie takes the time to explain what needs to be done so that even I can understand. One of the services CES has performed for me was to run electricity and tv wiring to my flat screen wall mounted tv so that no visible wires are showing. My wife was very impressed by what a nice job he did. Recently when I installed a mini-split unit in our second home in Cascade, CES did all electrical work that was needed to get the unit up and running. To say that I am a happy customer is an understatement. To find someone these days who has his work ethic, skill and honesty is a very rare thing. I recommend this company whatever electric needs you have."

"This job exceeded my expectations. He was very courteous, efficient and clean everything up when he was done. I actually had an additional job (minor) that I did not put in the original description and he was able to fit that in as well. Would definitely work with again."

"I hired Josh because he was the electrical subcontractor on my new build home where I wanted to add a few items. Not only was he was able to leverage his familiarity with the house, but also he is keenly focused on service and satisfaction. He and his crew quickly and efficiently installed two new 220V circuits (one for an EV charger and a second for a hot tub), plus an additional soffit outlet to power an exterior retractable solar shade. He communicated clearly and consistently throughout. He also provided recommendations which resulted in savings (applying some DIY talents and use of products available on Amazon). I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again when I need electrician services and would recommend him to family and friends."

"We were very, very, pleased with the finished tile and paint work and impressed with their professionalism, great customer service. They were prompt to arrive on the job and if there was any delay for any reason, they called ahead to let us know why and then gave an update on their estimated time of arrival. Would hire again if needed for any future tile installation and/or interior painting for our house."

"I was not expecting phone calls at 10 p.m. You should have options on your form to set hours for phone calls. It took me off guard, so I went with the first phone call without getting a chance to get other bids. The electrician was very nice, had to do some detective work to try to figure out why a breaker kept blowing when we turned on the water feature. He replaced the breaker with a higher "commercial" breaker and also installed a new outlet for us. As it turns out, the breaker continued to "blow" and we ended up replacing the pump on the water feature. Things are working well now. Boxes/doors were left open after he left, so that would be why I did not rate at a 5."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Melba, ID

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
