"I lived in this house for 20+ years. The basement was always damp and at some points flooded. Since the work was done, the basement has been bone dry for 2+ months. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it as I'm so used to the basement being wet when it rains. I'd recommend them to anyone. The crew, headed by Philip, truly worked their butts off. It was heavy exhausting work to excavate and rebuild the basement walls, as well as jack hammering out the concrete basement floor to put in the French drain, pour the concrete, etc. But they took great care & did a fabulous job. They even came and worked on a weekend when we were being threatened with a tropical storm to make sure that the basement was properly secured enough to withstand the storm (which thankfully did not come)."

"They gave me an estimate on the first call-it wasen`t the lowest but they seemed to know their business and they were very professional.The job was completed in a few days. They always showed up on time and cleaned up after they were done.I will also say unknown to me it was the beginning of trout season and they still came and did the job-I have found that if it is the beginning of any sport season in Pennsylvania it`s iffy getting a contractor to even return a call. <br />"

On every project Ostrander Construction has met or exceeded my expectations. I trust them to hold the keys to my house and all the work has been done while we were not there. Any questions or changes that arose while the work was being done were easily handled by phone. The quality of their work is excellent, and the cost of each project has always been fair and reasonable and almost always close to what I expected it to be. On the very rare ocassion that I had a concern about something or other, they always worked until the problem was solved to my satisfaction. Based upon twenty years of experience with Ostrander Construction, it is my experience that you can not find a more honest, more reliable, or a more professionable contractor. We recently installed a deck and wanted to finish the retaining wall. He did great work the first time and did again this time. It all blends together perfectly. "My parents had a Sunroom installed in 2004. The roof has been leaking; I have caulked and recaulked to no avail. My father has Alzheimer's, and went through that tearing up stage of all the paperwork, so I had no idea of who installed the Sunroom. I called Bitner who refused to take my phone number, stating that they don't repair someone elses work. I called Great Additions who never returned my phone calls. <br /> I called Blakeslee Home Improvement, and Robert Valenti wasted no time in coming out on 8/8/2012. He investigated the problem, and informed me that the roof was finished. The original company who did the installation of the Sunroom never bothered to put sheeting or roofing tiles on the roof, also never bothered to connect the downspout from the house to the Sunroom. They just took advantage of my elderly parents, and ran with the money. <br /> He informed me of their heavy schedule, but would fit us in. He did, within a few weeks he and his crew were out to repair the roof that another company never wasted their time to finish. It's looks wonderful, they even matched the tiles to the roof of the house. <br /> This company is AWESOME. If you want good / great/ excellant work done, give them a call. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"
