"The job was a very lengthy job due to how much was being bricked. It was an extremely hard job due to the location and getting the flow properly done from the porch which was in the front of the house, winding all the way to the back along the garage and to the patio. They did a fantastic job on everything. It looks beautiful. I even called them back for a few repairs and they were prompt to get here and to take care any problems. I would definitely recommend Austin Brick Pavers to do your job!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Brad was professional, punctual and personable. Initially I showed him some bricks that were either loose or totally off our front steps to our house. We also needed some repair on a brick walkway set in mortar. Upon his extra thorough inspection of the steps, many more bricks were slightly loose. He gave me many options. He told me that the labor costs would be more extensive to repair all the bricks on the treads and suggested a solid stone tread. He offered options on this product and layout. The project turned out beautifully and looks like it should have always had the stone on the treads. He also pressure washed and sealed the walkway and stoop vastly improving the look. We built our house in 1995 and this was all original."

"Right from the start everything went like "clockwork". Communications and scheduling were timely and accurate. Marsha kept us informed every step of the way. The estimate for the job was fair and reasonable and we signed on and scheduled the job. Showing up on time, communicating necessary information such as delivery of supplies and job scheduling are important. They followed through perfectly. The job was done in one day, the crew was professional, experienced and very clean. We are delighted with our new patio and we do not hesitate to recommend Exotic Pavers to anyone. So, do yourself a big favor, call them for an estimate...you'll be very glad you did!!"

"Contacted Dan and he responded back that day. The next day, he came out to give an estimate and we signed the contract. The week after, his crew efficiently repaired the masonry work on our front porch patio. He was very responsive, gave great advice and we are very satisfied with the work."

"They were punctual, thorough, and did what was expected from them. They explained how they did and what they were doing, to my mother when I was there. The only thing I did not like was their cost because they estimated verbally one price and then the price went up from what we thought; it was another $100 more than what we expected. The person I spoke to was not always easy to contact."

"<p>From the beginning to the end, Dan and his team were professional, courteous and willing to go the extra 'mile'.  We received quotes for the installation of a custom patio from several contractors, including both Brick Paver and Poured Concrete.  We ended up selecting Dan (N&T Landscaping) as they not only had a competitive price, but we felt he was upfront, honest and professional.</p> <p>Installation of the patio and mulch beds (4-5 yards) was about 2.5 days, throughout challenging Michigan Spring weather.  We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product that Dan and his team produced, in addition to his excellent communication along the way.</p> <p>We would certainly use N & T Landscaping in the future and recommend them quickly to friends and family.</p> <p><br></p>"

"Although I loved the ideas and the plans, the price was extremely expensive.  I believe the work would have been exceptional if I had decided to hire them.  <br /> The blue prints were very detailed with several examples of pictures. colors, and sizes.  <br /> <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Metamora, MI

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
