"Rob & his crew from CRP Contractors did a fantastic job in replacing my wind/hail damaged roof as well as installing new gutters/downspouts. The estimate was fair & affordable. Rob was upfront & honest throughout the entire process and was always willing & able to answer any of my questions in a timely fashion. They completed the entire roof in one day & then took care of the gutters right after. They also did an amazing job on the clean up, leaving absolutely nothing behind. I would definitely use CRP Contractors again & would heavily recommend them to anyone in need of roofing/gutter/siding services!"

"2016 Nov John came to check leaking area and suggested to replace the whole roof. He promised after getting new roof, there will no more water leak. Even chimney, flashing,..everything. He told me no worry. I trusted him with new roof replacement in Nov. 2017 Jan, water leak badly, he came back to check and do water test. find a hold under flashing. They fixed. 2017 Apr, leak again, John came back to check, also owner came as well. They said maybe masonry with hole. They refer a guy to do some work, $2000. 2018 March, leak again, can't count how many times they back. They send a chimney guy, he suggest to take out whole chimney and rebuild it, estimate $20,000. After this, they change attitude to sympathetic, just said we have done what we can do. Of course, we didn't do it. I hired another Chimney company to do level II inspection. They told me the roof edge miss some piece call drain edge. According to Indiana law, that is necessary part. We asked ABC to fix it, they said we didn't check this item when we install the new roof. Just wonder how many people should know they need to check this item. I argued with them and asked them come back to add drain edge. FINALLY, no more leak !! Thank God! John is a very great salesman, Sonja is very helpful at beginning. But no body in ABC roofing can find the root cause for 18 month. Maybe we don't need to replace the whole roof at beginning, just need to add Drain Edge. We spend 22000 for new roof and suffer 18 month. Not sure this is our good luck or bad luck to have ABC roofing."

"They completed a complete roof teardown and putting new shingles on in a single day.  Over the weekend more high velocity wind hit the area and they came out the next day to check and make sure everything stayed in place.  They did everything without requiring any money upfront to start or complete the work.  R&R Roofing is a true roofing company that not only does the work, they did it correctly without cutting corners to meet the insurance quote.  They also kept me informed with everything that was going on.  Truly a professional company and a great company to work with."

"An absolutely outstanding experience with our roof installation. A hard working, professional crew, respectful of our property and committed to excellence. The on-site supervisor kept us appraised of the progress being made and texted pictures documenting the work completed and in progress. Cannot recommended RCV more strongly. . "

"They handled everything with the adjustor for our insurance company.  Everything was handled in a timely manner.  Ron was great to work with.  We had no issues with the quality of their work.  They also worked around my scheduling and pricing with them was very good.  Their estimate was the best our of several we received.  I love my roof and their clean-up was perfect.  They are the only company I would use."

"Seemed to go well, fast work. Left a fair amount of nails and debris. But had a couple leaks develop at some difficult spots, around chimney, and another intersection of roof and wall. It took a few trips back to get the leaks fixed. They were fixed well however. The guy that came to fix them did a very good job. Seems that the original workers did not have quite enough time and had to rush it. It has a good guarantee etc."

"Kingsmen did a roof replacement for a neighbor in early June. We initially called on 6/14 for an estimate on roof and 2 sides of siding, which was provided on 6/23. George returned on 7/3 to give an estimate for the rest of the siding as well as soffit, fascia. We chose Kingsmen for several reasons - quality of materials used, very pleasant representative (George), good references (which we checked), and quality of work. Kingsmen was swamped (as all vendors were); our roof was scheduled for and completed on 10/5. The crew did an excellent job and the roof looks great. They did a good clean-up on the yard afterwards. We did have one leak appear about 1 month after the job was completed, and the contractor touched up the work around the chimney to prevent further leaks."

".They showed when they said they would and cleaned everything up.  It looks good.  I think they provide their customers with thicker/stronger boards to sit on while in the shelter.  I also think the shelters should come at least 5.5 to 6 feet tall.  Most families have at least one family member or friend that is over 5 feet tall.  If we have to stay in it for a hour to several hours, we need to be able to stand up.  They were careful with the equipment and quick.  I recommend you look for any cracks in your garage around where they will be installing the shelter and driveway, so if you see any cracks once they are finished you can have them fix it.  I also recommend that you tell your neighbors that you will be having a shelter installed and ask if they can move their vehicles out of the street.  Ground Zero has a very long trailer they pull their equipment on and they need room to turn around on/in the street. <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Midland, IN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
