"We had vinyl flooring installed throughout our house. The crew removed the old carpet, baseboards and some tile. They installed new baseboard and flooring. Javier's crew did a FANTASTIC JOB! The price was very reasonable, and it was easy to communicate with Javier. We were told what time the crew would arrive and how long it would take to complete the work. After the flooring was installed, the crew cleaned up and didn't leave a mess on the floor. they are very friendly and nice. They installed flooring in another house that we had and because they do GREAT work we had them do our house. I HIGHLY recommend Monteros Hardwood Flooring."

The smell of the top coat is very strong for the first 2-3 days as expected due to it being oil-based and not water-based. I chose a semi-gloss finish, no staining necessary. The type of wood we had to purchase to match my old floors was very expensive, but blended in nicely."

"Scott Sandberg was the best.  He consistently delivered what he promised.  Every morning he arrived on time (actually, he was a few minutes early every time), which is such a welcome change from so many contractors.   He wanted us to be happy, and went out of his way to create the perfect stain.  He achieved a very contemporary greyish color, still showing all the wood grain.  He was very meticulous with his work, and reapplied several coats of stain and varnish.  We now have gorgeous hardwood floors that don't look refinished -- they look like they were newly installed!  His pricing was fair, and he was a pleasure.  We let him and his helper work in our house while we went out of town, and were totally comfortable.  He is very trustworthy, very professional, and takes pride in his work.  We recommend him highly. <br />"

"I expected the baseboards to be removed for the install of the floors and then reinstalled. I was never told that the baseboard would not be removed... which means that the wood was only installed short of the baseboards, and now, I will always have to have a base shoe. This is not a design element that I want to be forced to live with. We went back and forth about how unhappy I was with being pigeonholed to this decision... and things got quite contentious at times. But all in all, the wood floors themselves look good."
