"If i could give them negative I would do not use this company. Basically stole my money. gave them $2500.00 Down to tear up my yard hillbilly frame my pad, then after i cant use it tell me it gonna be $3000.00 more then the quote. I said no just give me $1000.00 back of the $2500.00. would not do it. they have less then $1000.00 dollars in it and will not give my money back. Im sure they will wright some big excuse but believe me its all lies. check out BBB Kentucky complaints there."

Not only have we had a few major issues over the 20 + years we have been customers but we currently have an actively flooding basement and I cannot for the life of me get someone out for service in a timely manner. They have "scheduled" us for an appointment that is months away. Meanwhile, it continues to rain and snow, water pouring into my basement. I've had to use and dump a large wet vac hours on end to try and contain it. Which tells me, either their system is so ineffective that multiple people are having the same issue so they don't have any appointments available or they simply prioritize new installs over emergencies. I've had my basement finished, had to rip everything out several years ago due to the system. I'm a seamstress and my work room is in the basement. Expensive machines. So much property destroyed and the time lost working is costing me thousands."

"I’m only giving a one star review because they were able to get us on the schedule quickly. Everett seemed very friendly and honest when he came out to give us a quote to widen our driveway and extend our extension patio so we decided to hire Hastings and Sons. Now with HUGE regret. This is a slimy business. Partial payment was due at the beginning of the job and the remaining was due at the completion of the job. We went ahead and paid the remaining payment without the job being FULLY completed (ignorant on my part) the only thing left to do was saw cut and clean up, we were told someone would back the following morning, here we are 4 days later and no one has showed up to complete the job. Everette and someone named Tim who wasn’t even on the job and told me two jobs were mixed up told me it would be taken care of (yesterday). If concrete is left too long without the control joints being cut it will crack, we are past 96 hours with no saw cuts! Not to mention I told the project manager I wanted our patio to be rounded and it was not, he did a walk through the morning of pouring and talked about the square footage but nothing was staked out so I didn’t even think to bring it up again since I already told him and showed him a picture of what I wanted, he said I should have mentioned that during the walk through. This part I was okay with getting over until it turned into a bigger problem. They left my front yard a mess, there is concrete smeared on our existing patio, concrete on the siding of our house, basement windows, the quality of their work is bad. Sloppy, the extension of the driveway isn’t even. If I could do it all over again I would have hire the contractor who’s price was significantly higher. I would not recommend Hastings and Sons to anyone and will never use them again for future projects. Do yourself a favor and don’t go for the cheapest quote, I know better and still did it. I should have been more thorough when researching the company, their reviews are loads of complaints and they are not on the BBB that’s usually a red flag. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for! Good thing is I was able to stop payment on the second check. They’ll get paid when they actually FINISH the job."
