She showed up and gave us a one hour free consultation, helping us choose flooring and tiles for the bathroom - they came out so elegant, I wouldnâ t have picked anything remotely close as beautiful! Shelly really brought on a valuable addition to our bathroom renovation project - her great taste - on top of her teamâ s excellent craft, all the finishing touches and all done within reasonable amount of time! We also were quoted for a flat fee, all materials and labor included. But in the end we had asked Shellyâ s team to complete a few additional tasks, such as putting on door knobs and installing a ceiling fan, adding a towel bar and framing small tiles around a cabinet - she didnâ t even charge us for an extra day of work!! "In the middle of winter and just before selling my house, a land survey revealed that my driveway and a retaining wall were encroaching on my neighbor’s property. I had to make arrangements for the driveway to be corrected as a condition of the sale. I found Alto Contracting on Angie’s List and checked their reviews. There were over 100 glowing and very detailed reviews, so I called and left a message. Within minutes, Mr Rick Ribeiro returned my call and I explained my problem. He was very pleasant and wanted to see the driveway, but there was almost 18” of snow. I emailed him close-up pictures (before the snow) and the survey, so he could see exactly what was needed, and fortunately, he agreed to review the information and send me a quote. Meanwhile, my prospective buyers insisted on getting several other quotes. I called several other masonry and paving contractors, and some were closed for the season, while others returned my call, asked for the pictures (as no one could actually look under that snow) , promised quotes, but never even got back to me, even with repeated calls. Meanwhile, Rick, (Alto Contracting) responded only two days after I emailed him with an itemized quote, including NYS sales tax. The quote was a bit higher than expected, but very fair, once I saw the scope of work that was required. After weeks of calling other companies, my buyers managed to obtain a single quote with no details and no mention of any work included it tax, just an outrageous number more than triple what Alto Contracting had quoted. We all agreed that Alto Contracting was the company for us. I sent a deposit and hired them. As soon as weather permitted, they arranged to come, and completed the job exactly as specified, and left the workspace neat and clean. They also honored their original quote, without finding additional items to add in; this was something that was mentioned in a number of their stellar reviews, and which I am very happy to corroborate. "Had used another company previously but was looking to change to another company. Found SealPro on this site, and after reading some reviews and checking their site I called and asked a few follow up questions. Satisfied with the answers I retained SealPro. There price was competitive with what I previously paid, but I can't say if the price was high, low or just right since I didn't get other estimates. Had to wait a while for them to schedule me, and that happened only when I called to inquire as to when they might be coming. I was told that due to the amount of rain they were a bit backed up (reasonable answer) and they could actually schedule me in a couple of days. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and the driveway looks as good as one could hope for given what sealing does. The few questions I had when they were on site were answered well, and I felt very comfortable with my choice. Just have to manage your expectations because there were a few imperfections and I actually consulted someone I know out of state who explained to me what causes those imperfections, in that sealing is not a resurfacing and imperfections that were there previously sometimes become more noticeable with a fresh application of sealant."
