"The project went very well. Timing and budget were met. More importantly, I had a curvy design (drawn on graph paper) and a new material in mind (recycled rubber pavers, now offered by Azek). Unlike many of the contractors I spoke with, Jeff from MasonWorks was willing to work with my design and this unfamiliar material that involved laying plastic grids over the compacted base and then installing the pavers. The pavers themselves could be cut with a woodworking tools. I wanted a dogwood blossom design on the entry and main patios which required a lot of diagonal cuts. I didn't want to pay for the extra labor to make that happen, so MasonWorks team laid the pavers in a random pattern and gave me a few days before applying the sand to lock in when I was able to cut and rearrange the pavers to make my design. I am so thrilled with the result. I had wanted a deck, but the raised terrace was a great solution that didn't conflict with zoning. The work was done in 2011 and, 8 years later, it is holding up really well, even though I did dig out the base material pretty close to the edge of the pavers to allow for more planting. The first photo is from 2018. The others are from 3-5 years ago."

"M&L Landscaping Construction is absolutely incredible! You will not regret hiring Leo and his team for your project. I first hired Leo for one job, and after seeing the quality, precision, and care in his work, I immediately brought him back for a second. The first project included pavers, a retaining wall with built-in seating, a garden bed, patio/paver installation, fence installation, and a composite deck with stairs. The second project was for my rental property and involved an insurance claim to repair the facade of the house. That work included installing stone veneers on the front of my home, constructing a new deck with a roof, building a stone wall with fencing, and completing a blacktop driveway. What truly sets M&L apart is not just the beauty and craftsmanship of their work, but the professionalism, organization, and integrity behind it. Leo’s team is respectful of your property, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They take pride in what they do and it shows in every detail—from layout precision to cleanup after completion. Equally impressive is how Leo manages the business side of things. He’s communicative, transparent, and extremely reliable—qualities that are rare to find in the contracting world. He provides clear timelines, fair pricing, and proactive updates, so you always know where things stand. Having worked with many contractors over the years, I can confidently say that M&L Landscaping Construction is top-notch from start to finish. I was so impressed that I even referred my parents for their driveway paver installation—and, just as expected, it came out beautiful. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and professional landscaping and construction team, hire M&L Landscaping Construction. You’ll be glad you did!"

"Macauley Brothers did a fantastic job. In the past they installed steps at my doors, walkways out of pavers and a beautiful patio. Most recently they did a Spring cleanup, weeding, aeration and set hatching the lawn along with rich, black mulch added to the flower beds. Their team of professional workers prepared the beds by weeding and edging first, then adding the mulch in a way that enhances the beds. I couldn’t be happier with all of the work Macauley Brothers has done for me."

"I'm a recent customer of De'Angele Landscape & Construction and I can't recommend them enough. I had a patio that was old and wasn't looking good anymore. De'Angele Landscape & Construction was able to replace the old patio with a new concrete one. They were prompt, courteous, and very friendly. I am very satisfied with their service and would gladly use them again if need be."

"I had some ugly concrete exterior stairs that I wanted removed. Justin gave me a quote and did the job the next day. His price was very reasonable. He show up on time, was professional, did the job quickly and cleaned up before he left. I would give him a 10 but 5 is all that is allowed. I would HIGHLY recommend The Cape Cod Mason. Thank you Justin & Nick!!"

"My wife and I bought a house last fall and the previous owners had over-planted and under-tended the garden. We called a couple of local landscape companies to seek competing estimates. John's Landscape was the company who responded in a satisfactory manner: answered the phone in person, followed up, etc. John came to our home about 2 mornings after our initial call. He was very pleasant and professional.
Our priorities were to remove one mulch bed that was under the front porch against the siding of the house and replace it with stone (mulch against the siding of a wood-frame house is an invitation for termites!) and to remove some ornamental grasses because I'm allergic to them. We also wanted to replace some of the shrubs and plantings with lower-maintenance plants. John walked around the property with us and listened carefully. We told him we wanted to spend $2000-$5000 for the project.
He made some insightful comments: for example, I didn't like the rhododendrons and John told me I should think about keeping them because they're low maintenance and were due to bloom soon. He also had some nice ideas like (some day) replacing the wood deck with a stone patio. He was very respectful of our budget and didn't give us a hard sell. He said all we really needed in the near term was a clean-up of the property and some crushed stone under the porch. He did offer a design consultation to plan bigger improvements and we agreed to that.
It took about a week for the company to get back to us with an estimate but I was pleased to see it was $2500, including materials. There was no itemized cost breakdown but there was a description of work to be completed and it included nearly everything John and I had verbally discussed.  There was one thing that slipped off the list: we had a little poison ivy by the back fence and getting rid of that wasn't on the list. We wrote email back asking to add that item but somehow it never got resolved. This is a minor point considering how the overall project turned out.
Another week went by and John's office called to schedule the work. I think my wife forgot to mention the poison ivy. They called on a Thursday and we scheduled the work for the following Monday, weather permitting. They also scheduled our design consultation for the same day. (There's a $500 fee for the design consultation, but it counts as credit toward installation of the new design.)
Monday was rainy and John's called us shortly after lunchtime to reschedule for Tuesday. Promptly at 7:30 Tuesday, John's four-man crew arrived and went straight to work. I was working from home and I saw these fellows through the windows all day. They were model employees: conscientious, friendly, professional. They worked quietly and diligently from 7:30 till 5:30 with a couple of breaks. They did a remarkably good job. They filled the bed of a small dump truck with all the weeds, hedge clippings, old mulch, and last year's leaves they removed. They left a spotless work site. I tipped them each $20 and they were quite grateful. In hindsight, I think they deserved more.
The garden looks great and our house is now safe from termites. The design consultation went well and we're looking forward to seeing the designer's ideas on paper.
All in all, this was a great experience and the start of a promising business relationship."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Minot, MA

The recommended interval for paver maintenance varies based on several factors, including climate conditions, usage patterns, and sealant type. Most surfaces benefit from resealing every two to five years, with more frequent attention needed in harsh environments or high-traffic areas.

Properties with significant tree coverage or water exposure may require more regular maintenance. Annual inspection allows homeowners to identify emerging issues before they require extensive intervention.

Professional service providers offer several advantages, including specialized equipment calibrated for optimal application rates, thorough preparation techniques, and experience identifying underlying issues that might affect sealant performance.

Technicians understand product compatibility with different paver materials and can recommend appropriate solutions for specific conditions. The efficiency and precision of professional application often results in more consistent coverage and potentially longer-lasting protection compared to first-time DIY efforts.

Optimal timing for paver sealing projects depends primarily on weather conditions rather than specific calendar dates. The application requires consistently dry conditions with moderate temperatures, between 50°F and 85°F.

Spring and fall often provide ideal conditions in many regions, avoiding both excessive heat that causes rapid drying and cold temperatures that inhibit proper curing. The surface must be completely dry before application, requiring several consecutive precipitation-free days beforehand.

Initial drying times vary by product type and environmental conditions. Most water-based sealants become touch-dry within two to four hours but require 24 to 48 hours before supporting normal foot traffic.

Solvent-based products need slightly longer initial drying periods but may develop full hardness more quickly. Factors like humidity, temperature, and air circulation significantly influence drying rates. For vehicle traffic or furniture placement, manufacturers recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours to ensure complete curing.
