Small jobs welcome

"These guys are great! They came just a few days after I called, blew bark dust all around exactly where I asked, and cleaned up after themselves. The were fast, friendly, and affordable."

I'm a carpenter by trade but a farmer at heart, I can figure out how to fix anything made with wood and I don't mind picking weeds either. I enjoy working on a variety of projects but I have supported my family as a carpenter.

"I am a wanna be gardener but really don't know where to start.  I got a planting plan from a landscape designer with the idea that I could do it myself. I had 4 mature coniferous shrubs that I wanted removed and realized soon that the job was more than what I wanted to handle. I contacted Shannon Landscape & Construction and Brian Shannon came out within a week to look at my project. He gave me a verbal estimate of $1500 and said they could get to it this fall.  The next day I received the written proposal and scheduled it for the following week. The project included removing all old existing sod, removing old shrubs, trimming all other remaining shrubbery and trees (which included one maple and one ornamental cherry), clean up and haul away all debris, bring in 3 yards soil mix.  Prep the ground for the lawn and garden beds. Install approx 200 sq ft of sod. The estimate included all labor, material and equipment and estimated a 3 man crew for 7.5 hours.
The crew arrived right on time and worked very quickly.  So quickly that they were done in about 4 hours - so I asked if they could do some yard clean up in the back.  Alex, the crew foreman called the office and got the go  ahead to do that and in another 1.5 hours had cleaned up and removed a lot of overgrown plant material.
Everyone I spoke with at this company is very professional.  It was a pleasure doing business with them and I will definitely be using them again.

"Dimitri is very professional. He arrived on time, did a thorough job of cleaning and treating the roof, and then spent a couple of hours cleaning the yard and house. I will hire him again the next time I need service."

"We have used Juan's Landscaping Service for regular mowing and maintenance for the past twelve years. In addition, he and his company have done many, many involved projects for us and many of our friends and family. I have found him to be reliable, friendly, punctual, and price competitive. We used to live in West Linn and had a lot that was on a slope and had rock walls. Over the years, he help us take care of every phase of our yard, helped re-landscape it over time, built paved walkways, and updated our sprinkler system as the yard and plantings matured. I can't say enough positive things about Juan!! We have since moved to Lake Oswego and Juan has gone with us. "

"I can't say enough good things about the service provided by McKinley Landscaping. Gerald, the owner, was personally on-site about 80% of the time (9 day project) with his workers. We had to make a few adjustments to the scope of work but he handled it efficiently and painlessly. Gerald is a hands on contractor, listens to the client and pays attention to details. I can't believe how beautiful my yard is now, and how pleasant the process went. You will pay a little more for this quality of work...and it's worth every penny. By the way, I've also hired his crew to do the maintenance year round for a reasonable price. Thank you McKinley Landscaping!"

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Molalla, OR

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
