"I had very uneven walkways in my yard which caused a bad fall for my wife. I reviewed A&R's very positive reviews on Angi so contacted them for the job. Allen could not have been more responsive or professional. He gave me a solid quote and showed up on time and ready to do the work. His crews were very well qualified. They demoed and formed the job one day and completed the job the next. They cleaned up, put mulch back in place and left everything in good order. You can hardly tell that anyone was there. I'm happy to recommend Allen and A&R as a well qualified contractor."

"Sales guy showed up and quoted my wife and I for a new patio in about 15 minutes and was gone. Quote came to my email about 2 days later and we signed and agreed. My wife is paraplegic. She has issues getting around. salesman said we could have our patio installed even with our doors for that. Chip the project manager came out to do the patio, told us no you canâ t do that, by code. called another contractor who said same thing. unlike the sales guy, Chip spent a hour plus with my wife and I discussing some options to keep it within code, and so water wouldnâ t get in our home as it was sold. (wish I knew this from the beginnin) in the end, Chip and his crew made a ramp (out of concret), and installed a drain in front of the door, while not charging us a penny. Chip and his crew were impressive. he took a problem, and really took the time to explain how to fix it without rushing. I will gladly recommend Chip which is why you get 4 stars and not 1. he made the best of a bad situation and we are happy"

"Southern Acres Landscape and Design exceeded expectations from start to finish. We hired them for a paver patio and drainage, and the entire process was smooth, organized and professional. They showed up when they said they would, excommunicated clearly throughout the project, and delivered exactly what was promised. The craftsmanship was excellent and you can tell they take pride in their work. I was very pleased with Southern Acres, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaping and hardscaping company around the Summerville area that wants a company which does things the right way, and stands by their work."

"PCM CONSTRUCTION LLC. Exceptional work and design options with a fair price! My project was $3500 less than Palmetto Landscaping and Designs, LLC in Summerville quoted me. Israel, the owner, was timely in all communications and completed my entire patio paver project in 2 days. Highly recommend!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Moncks Corner, SC

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
