"We hired Diversified Contractors to install a new patio, walkway and retaining wall at our home during the summer of 2017. The job consisted of removing an existing concrete patio and then installing a new patio and a 60-foot walkway using Westchester pavers. In addition, a 25-foot retaining wall incorporating a new PVC drainage system was installed under an existing deck. The job required a significant amount of landscaping and regrading of our backyard. Diversified Contractors completed the work on schedule and the men who performed the installation were courteous, professional and excellent craftsmen. The manager/owner came by each day to review the progress of the work. He was always accessible to address our questions. We are extremely pleased with the service and could not have asked for a better contractor to perform the work. The quality and design of the resulting patio, walkway and retaining wall have exceeded our expectations. "Was unable to get a window for installation, I was concerned as I wanted to dovetail this project in with other projects I had planned. Brian , the owner informed me of a possibility of late June install, I asked if he could offer a 2 week window in the future so that I could contact my other contractors to arrange their work before and after this window. I was informed that due to the nature of the business this was impossible. I was uncomfortable with that and contacted Angie's list for a refund , I received one voice mail from someone , I see that purchase has been removed from my purchase history but I received no official notification of an adjustment. I am sure Mr Hoffman does excellent work, given the time constraints of the offer and the other projects I wanted to have planned I asked for a refund My main concern is with Angies List business model now 1. Why did the chat function mysteriously disappear after I requested a refund? 2. Why was the purchase removed from my history with no refund issued? 3. When will I get confirmation of my refund ?"

"Jamie, the owner, is great to work with.  He provided ideas and helped us develop a final plan for the walkway and small patio.  We have a detached garage so the walkway goes from the deck about 40 feet to the side entrance at the back of the garage.  His stonework crew was efficient, and very skilled.  They first removed the existing slate walkway that was on a sand base and had shifted a bit over the years.  It also sloped down to the garage and was very slippery in winter.  They dug out the area and poured a concrete base, then installed the flagstone.  The walkway has two curved edges that are perfect, and the crew put in two small steps so the sections would be level.  The crew also ensured that water would drain properly away from the garage.  They took away the old slate, cleaned up everything and even washed down the paved alley behind the garage.  The stone work took three days.  The second crew that tilled the yard and put in sod was also excellent.  They asked about FIOS and Comcast cables.  I knew where the the FIOS cable started and that it was about 8 inches below ground.  They carefully dug up the cable so they would not cut it with the tiller.  They they re-buried the cable.  They also put in an underground 4-inch drainage pipe from a downspout with a pop-up drain near the rear of the yard.  Our yard is not big - the work area was maybe 30' x 40'., so they completed the sod work in one day.
I highly recommend Divine Landscaping.  You will be dealing directly with the owner; he has experienced workers that have been with Divine for years; pricing is very reasonable; workmanship is excellent; cleanup is thorough, and Jamie and his crews pay attention to detail, and ask questions whenever there is an issue to be resolved.  We are very pleased with the final results, and have received many complements from neighbors.  Divine Landscaping is terrific and will be first on our list for future landscaping work."

"I contracted with Emerald to do a 4200 square foot driveway paver project. For those that don't know, this is quite a large job. The only real delay to the project was the fact that it took over 3 months to get the 42 pallets of material that were required. That had nothing to do with Emerald. Once the materials were on-site, the workers worked steadily to get the job done. There was a snow storm and several rainy periods, but that didn't cause too much delay. One key point for me was the attention to detail by the workers. All around the circular driveway, all the pavers were trimmed to provide a very aesthetically pleasing result. This included going up against an existing retaining wall, my house, and a carport concrete pad. I had several change orders that Emerald accommodated in a professional manner. Emerald was also flexible in matching up to an 1800 square foot paver project I had done myself with my own hands over 30 years ago. In summary, if you need a hardscape project professionally completed at a fair cost, hire Emerald!!"
