Found Brian on the Web and he came promptly, told us he like rehabbing older structures, and did a fine job replacing rotted or missing slats, replacing structure on its foundation so that it was balanced again, working out extremely reasonable, considerate schedule for payments. He and his men were mannerly and thoughtful in every respect; he even made improvements in the internal organization of the garage, such as moving ladder holder from higher to lower position on the wall for enhanced safety. "Feb. snow and rainstorms caused a large ice dam to form on our North side roof, and we had water damage in both the master bathroom and the family room.
Both ceilings had water stains--and both were cathedral ceilngs--high and difficult to reach.  We also had some cracked plaster in the corner of the family room from settling,  as well as one corner in the kitchen. The very top of the ceiling in the master bath had some loosening of the drywall tape and "mud", and since we were at it, I asked them to include this, as well as a cleaning and replacement of light bulbs in the kitchen fan--again, too high for us to get to.  Inspection of the bathroom water stain proved to be not from the ice dam, but a problem with the installation of the bathroom fan and light by the original owners--use of too small a unit and no insulation, causing lots of condensation which leaked down and stained the ceiling.  Both rooms would need repainting of the ceilings and the family room needed a total repaint.  Touch-up of the bathroom wall where some nails had popped and needed recovering would be enough. They matched our 9 year old paint perfectly.
The men arrived punctually each of the three days it required.  They moved and/or covered furnishings and carpeting both in the rooms and in the hallways to protect  them and were very careful to keep dust and dirt to a minimum, and cleaned everything up each night so we could resume normal  living.  They did a great job with everything, and installed a new fan unit of the correct size in the bathroom--cleaned up my kitchen ceiling, and made the fan/light unit look like new. The men were courteous and good at their jobs and did everything we had asked.
Our house looks great again, and we are very satisfied with the company, their estimator Phil; Joe, their supervisor, and his crew.
We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Then he looked at the front doorframe and he returned the very next day with what he needed to remove the cracked portion of the frame and replace it with the latch perfectly lined up, good as new for 1/20 of the cost of a new door unit! "The good: easy to schedule, they showed up promptly, and worked quickly.
The bad: when I had called to schedule the cleaning appointment, I'd mentioned I needed them to take a look at a section of the gutter that was dripping and recommend any needed repair. As I was writing out the check, I asked the worker what he thought was wrong with that section, he gruffly answered "it's the roof," took the check, and turned away to leave without any additional explanation. 
That didn't inspire a ton of confidence. Will look elsewhere next time."
