"I contacted Public Hot Top through Angie's List yesterday, and received a call from James almost immediately. We made an appointment, and he came this morning to specify and price the job, which was to pave the driveway and the carport, both of which were dirt surface. His price was quite agreeable, and he returned with his crew a few hours later to perform the job. We talked about a few of the details as the paving work was being done: Slanting the pavement away from the house, with careful attention to the paving against the house, so as to avoid any possibility of getting water in the basement, and paving right up to, and just under the front steps. James also took care of disposal of some debris from the job (paving stones removed). The results are beautiful, and I am quite happy that I did business with Public Hot Top."

"I always look for different- so when Reliable said they could give me a beautiful chip and tar driveway in pink stone I jumped at the chance- when it was first installed, I thought the color was off, but Andy the owner of Reliable said he would do anything he could to make me happy with my purchase- low and behold he was right, after the stones went through a few rains and the rock dust had washed off of the stone chips- the driveway literally sparkled! I have enjoyed numerous comments, both seeing the driveway in sunlight and in darkness (headlights) - it is truly a beautiful addition in welcoming visitors to our home!! "We had already had our old driveway removed by another contractor and hired Sullivan to excavate, fill and pave a larger driveway. The written estimate was very detailed and fair and it included removal of some very large boulders, which we knew might be an extra fee. They had to get extra equipment to excavate these, which they only rented for the day. They were able to move the large rocks/boulders to other parts of the front yard but that did a bit if damage to the lawn and some plantings. The project took longer than expected and communication with the company was very difficult. The voicemail box was always full. We were able to text the number on the yard sign, but replies were not always prompt. They had the crushed stone brought in and it remained in large hills for days. They did not come on days we expected them to when the weather was beautiful, and they did not contact us to let us know they would not be coming. We decided to have permeable pavement installed, which overall came out looking quite nice, but my husband was concerned about one side of the driveway being too thinly paved. Jake agreed to add extra material, which took several extra days because of plant delays, but this was not explained to us. The overlaid area does not match the original area and left a seam where the two meet. It was apparently not hot enough when applied and some of the surface at the seam is crumbly. There were some equipment malfunctions and also my husband had to supply them with certain things they did not seem to have or have enough of (propane, some of the lumber for a barrier edge). If they had better communication about start times and delays and if they had provided a dedicated contact number, we would have given them a higher rating."

"Contractor showed up on time, all equipment was in new condition (no breakdowns). We discussed what would be done. They sealed the cracks with hot asphalt then sealcoated the whole driveway. Very clean job. Looks excellent. I highly recommend Eastwood Sealcoat LLC."
