In 2018 he was appointed to the Catawba Valley Home Builders Association Board of Directors. In 2012 he was awarded an Excellence in Remodeling Award by Catawba County Remodeling Association. In 2018 he was appointed to the Catawba County Planning Board Subdivision Review Committee, and is currently serving his fourth term in that position. Jason is focused on Green Construction and in 2009 was awarded the distinction of NAHB Certified Green Building Professional, and he received a lead-based paint remediation license. Before coming to work with Dixon Construction, he developed his skills for managing construction projects for large home builders. He competed in the Greensboro Parade of Homes in 2006 with a luxury home he both designed and built, and won "Gold" in the competition. Jason also won a number of awards such as Builder of the Month in 2005 for the most homes built on budget, on schedule, with 100% customer satisfaction for DR Horton, one of the largest home builders in the country, and a Fortune 500 company.
