"I hired Baumann's Lawn and Landscape to fix my front lawn. The soil was mostly clay and sand and covered in weeds. They killed and removed all the vegetation, tilled the soil, brought in new topsoil, conditioned/fertilized, and then laid sod. The crew was fast, efficient, polite, and did an amazing job (hopefully this site allows me to upload photos after writing this). The work was done in 3 separate days and took less than 2 weeks from the initial phone call to the finished installation. The price is what you would expect for this level of work and that much sod (sod is not cheap). They're not over-priced but it's not Bob's discount landscaping either. You'll get your money's worth for your project. Baumann's will be my #1 choice for future landscape projects."

"It went great. Within three weeks after aeration and overseeding, my lawn looked better than it has in twenty-seven years. The grass is thicker and seems more robust than ever before. "Arborist, Andrew Walker, was knowledgeable, patient, honest.  He doesn't give a dire picture as others did but a realistic one.  He answered many many questions and didn't give a high pressure sale.  High quality work - respectful of the tree health. The crew was extremely professional and they cleaned up my yard and my neighbors' yard  (my tulip overhangs in neighbors's yard more than mine) very very well.  They crew saw me trying to cut a thick vine root off one of my  trees  (not part of job I hired them for) and sawed it off without asking while I was not around.  A small act but a very very considerate and appreciated.  I can't say enough about the true care of my trees that they provided and the high level of professionalism by everyone.  I plan to use them for future work and will recommend them to others."

"<p>Andrea Mains was the designer. She responded promptly to my initial request for consultation. Her service was not free, but I liked the plans she drew up. Merrifield was not the cheapest estimate I got, but they took care of EVERYTHING including the demolition, and permit, which was what I was looking for. In addition, at my request, they scheduled the noisey demolition for a period when I was away from home. Their crew also accommodated my request to complete one corner of the work first so another contractor could install a new AC unit. (AC was installed on schedule.) The crew leader, Jose, and his men arrived around 8:45 every day that I was there and worked hard until 5 or later. Andrea brought some plants to my home so I could decide what I wanted installed. There were some I liked and some we decided not to use. The large rocks that were used as accents in the corners of the flagstone are weathered and even have some moss on them- love it! There is one little thing that I don't particularly like- the color of one of the stone steps is a little different from the rest of the stone. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my new patio/yard. I plan to use them again next year.</p> <p>I had to call Andrea a couple of months after work was completed due to a slight bit of erosion of the mulch covering the new plantings.
