"Olympus Landscapes and Perfections has completely transformed our yard and it looks incredible now. They installed sod, a large flagstone path, a paver pad, playground mulch, fire pit with a flagstone patio, fountains, retaining walls, plants, mulch, and playground mulch. Corey is extremely hardworking, honest, reliable, and a very talented landscape designer. They've exceeded my expectations."

"I had hired this Company based on observation on their prior work in the City where I live and oversee work through the City Engineer. The scope of work included grading, installation of irrigation system and sodding of the affected area within a large, City Owned Sports Complex. Work was performed on a very tight schedule and was completed on-time and looks wonderful. Jimmy Eades worked within tight sports schedules a produced a superior end result! I plan to engage them again on upcoming projects and would recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding job at competitive pricing."

"Building a new out building for a wood shop.  The location needed some excavation back into a hill to come up with a level area large enough for the 16'x20' footprint and 6' perimeter area for the installers.  The work seem to grow as we moved back into the hill; we ended up using close to 80 railroad ties to shore up the back and sides for the site. <br /> We also decided to "bury" the power feed from an existing power pole so a change was made to the original contract.  While digging the trench, came across a significant piece of "Shelby County Gold (chert!)" which posed its own challenge.  Mother nature proved a bit fitful with Spring rain to really soak down the newly exposed dirt; delays were unavoidable but Heath stayed with it and we were able to get a level building site and a wire ready power conduit before the builders arrived to start construction. <br /> All of this being said, Heath did a great job on what started as a seemingly easy request but turned out to be a more complex project with multiple challenges.  We are very pleased with his work, his work ethic and attention to detail.  Any future grading or excavation work will definitely be pointed in Heath's direction. <br />"

"They did a great job. Rufus Jr. was very responsive. We communicated via phone and texting. We weren't able to be home when they started working, but that didn't stop them from getting on the ball and getting everything done in a timely manner. They even remembered to add in some channels in a few places for conduits. Something I forgot to confirm with them. They clearly have been doing this a long time and they work as a great team!"

"We had a large tree taken out and the retaining wall was knocked down in the process.  The crew came and dug out what was left of the old wall including cutting out some concrete,  removed the stump where the new wall would go, placed a drain behind the wall, built the new straight wall, backfilled and placed new top soil on top,  and filled small area with concrete to bring drive way up to wall.  They did a great job. They started a week later than we had originally scheduled and it took a little bit longer than we thought it would but it looks very nice.  We were hoping to use reclaimed brick but that was not feasible, the new brick still looks very nice and fits well with the brick house.  I would highly recommend. I have a separate quote for them to come out to the house later and landscape that side of the house. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Mount Olive, AL

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
