"I called Lazscapes for a retaining wall estimate as the retaining wall we had on our property was completely falling apart. Ronnie came walked the area , took measurements , and gave us an estimate. He gave us a time frame of when he could get the project started and kept to his word. Ronnie ,Anthony, and the team were nothing short of efficient, hard working, and honest. I would definitely recommend them as I will be using them for any home improvements needed in the future."

"We had a stone walk out done by the French doors in our basement. Liam was very competent, efficient, respectful and easy to work with. He takes pride in his work and made sure the job was done right. We were very happy with the finished product!"

"He delivered the wood in the rain, which wasn't ideal, but I was glad to get it vs. not at all (we ordered late and didn't have lots of options). The bigger issue is the wood wasn't well seasoned, which it was supposed to be, and most of the pieces were bigger than we'd like. We did get a lot of it, so the quantity delivered was fine."

"After a number of years of using this company for various chimney needs on two 100 year old fireplaces we are done. Their prices are very high and advice has spotty resulting in redo’s (at our expense) on numerous occasions, still, we hung in there. THEN the latest issue was a faulty damper that they had installed a few years ago. Constant problems ensued, requiring multiple service calls every year. The latest came two days after the last $800, chimney cleaning when the damper once again stuck then finally opened only half way. I asked for a final resolution as this could not continue. The response by the owner Mr. Beckthorn, was condescending , accusatory, rude and insulting, as if he was talking to a petulant child. He further informed me that if MY attitude didn't improve he was going to tell us to find another contractor. His final comment “if you have a real solution then propose it, otherwise, let me work”. I did .. and fired him - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Mount Pocono, PA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
