"This project involved initial planning meetings; digging up lawn; rerouting a sprinkler system; bringing in soil; recommending trees, shrubs and plants; purchasing and planting same; repeated follow-ups (weather-related, not because of any problems); and probably other steps we're not aware of.  Members of the By-the-Sea team are knowledgeable, creative, skilled, and professional, with an incredible work ethic.  We can't say enough good things about them.  They have completed other projects for us with the same results."

"Shades of Green performed a miracle on our front lawn. They installed a patio, sprinkler system, and sod. It looks absolutely beautiful. Each time we encountered a small problem of any kind, they came out immediately to fix it. We are so pleased with their work and professionalize, we would recommend them to anyone. Total initial cost was a little over $5000.00. <br />"

"The Landsystems crew did a great job getting our yard ready for spring/summer. Sprinkler repairs, adding some new sprinklers, a HUGE yard cleanup, and blowing in top quality mulch was performed. The crews worked hard, knew their and quot;stuffand quot;, and did an amazing job, saving my poor old back from the pain and hassle! They provided good solutions for the problems we presented to them. My only complaint was that the schedulers took a while to get back to us when trying to plan the work days, but when all was coordinated they were prompt and efficient in completing the jobs. They might have been busy getting all their jobs scheduled. I would recommend Landsystems highly. <br />"

"Fantastic. Working with Brady and his team was a great experience. The quality of work was superb and he's just a great guy to work with to realize your ideas. He worked with us every step of the way and made some great suggestions that really made the project turn out great. This was a pretty major renovation... new deck/balcony, new staircase, rebuilt another deck and connected it all with a spiral staircase and new fence. <br /> Brafford Construction will definitely be the first contractor I call when looking to do other improvements in the future in the Bend area. <br />"

"We live in Florence, Oregon and Laurel Bay Gardens is located on Highway 101 in Florence, about 60 miles West of Eugene.  We interviewed landscaping and garden designers from Eugene which is the closest large city.  After we met Lisa and spent some time speaking with her about our project it was clear that she understood and that her company was more than capable of meeting and exceeding our expectations. <br /> <br /> Our landscape project is coastal and there are several micro-climates across our property.  One of main concerns was that we wanted to retain some of the native vegetation, but include some new and different types of tress and plants.  The design Lisa created was fantastic.  It included birch trees, Japanese maple, vine maple, hydrangea, rhododendron, mexican orange shrubs, clumping bamboo, lavender, lots of different ornamental grasses, several varieties of perennial plants, and creeping ground cover.  The entire property was overgrown so there was a lot of cleanup and removal to be done before anything can be started.  Lisa's crew trimmed, cleaned and took away all the debris, and opened up areas that were previously inaccessible.   <br /> <br /> A crew of two to three people were at the house every day (depending on the workload for that day) and used a small bobcat to carry the heavy boulders and rocks, and then used hand tools and wheelbarrows to properly place all of the pathway gravel, stepping stones, flagstones, plants and trees.  They worked hard all day and took one break in the middle of the day for lunch.  At the end of each day they cleaned up and swept all the concrete path and landings. They were polite and helpful and met with Lisa at the house every day to ensure that all the plants, berms, sprinklers and drainage were installed in the correct places and according to plan. <br /> <br /> The sun over the property changes from summer to fall, and some of the plants in the original plan and design had to be modified.  Lisa noticed this immediately and altered the design to adapt to the changing sun hours and shade.  Even though this is coastal property there is no rain from July through October and because we wanted flowering plants and plants that thrive in warmer weather, Lisa installed an automatic sprinkler system with four zones, one drip and three spray and rotor.  The installation included a timer and the crew really took their time to explain the system, show us how it worked, and let me alter all the settings as a trial run so I was comfortable with the system. <br /> <br /> The front entrance of the property was initially a mess, and Lisa planned to change the entry point, add some new plants to the north and south of the entry.  There was no entry sign with house numbers at the start of the project so Lisa installed a painted post with numbers to blend in with the new plantings at the entrance. <br /> <br /> Laurel Bay Gardens gave us 100% service and attention throughout the entire project.  I have no complaints and was completely satisfied with the interaction with Lisa and her crew, cost, timeliness, and attention to detail.  We were able to achieve a completely new look and feel to a property that has been in the family for over 25 years.  The project changed the aspect of the entire landscape and we were able to get outdoor eating area, a garden feel, and easy-to-care-for design that we absolutely love. We asked lots of questions and Lisa made sure that we got exactly what we wanted and that it works with our ability to attend to the garden over time."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Myrtle Point, OR

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
