"I called to inquire about a rattle in the garbage disposal and a slow drain in the sink. $50 to get him to flip on the switch and listen. He said the disposal is shot and would need to be replaced. A 1/3 horsepower was needed because anything stronger would not be ideal. They don't carry any 1/3 HP disposals. So after a quote for $500+ for GD replacement and $200+ for rodding the drain, the estimate all totaled was near $800! Paid the fifty bucks for the house call but declined to pony up the rest. Called a local handyman who opened up the disposal and removed the problem without replacing it for $40. works fine - and he unplugged the drain. Buyer beware of stings like this from companies who take advantage of customer ignorance."

The year 2003 is here and American Comfort joins a national franchise to offer clients a higher level of service. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here for the residential customers while maintaining the American Comfort name for the Commercial side of the business. It may seem like a lot of change, but, it was all done under one of the original owners. To this day, we are still family owned and operated.
