"Steve Gavin, the owner came out and provided me with a great price that was inclusive of the entire scope of the project. During our meeting he took the time to explain the process that his company uses. Once the permits were issued the crew arrived the next morning at 7:00 a.m. as promised. The crew met the deadline for a 1:30 inspection from the Village of Deerfield. They not only met the deadline but they passed the inspection without any issues to be corrected. The crew worked until 7:00 p.m. completing the job. I would also note that they left my home spotless!"

During the length of my career, with River West Construction, I have built over 50 custom made homes and Commercial buildings including the following: Taco Bell, KFC, Qdoba (owned by Jack in the Box), Casey Muffler and Brake, Lime Light Night Club, and Badger Murphy. Recently, our family business has down sized as an owner operated construction business in order to efficiently meet the needs of our customers and provide them with the skills and expertise that we are equipped with, allowing us to handle any job. "I called to inquire about a rattle in the garbage disposal and a slow drain in the sink. $50 to get him to flip on the switch and listen. He said the disposal is shot and would need to be replaced. A 1/3 horsepower was needed because anything stronger would not be ideal. They don't carry any 1/3 HP disposals. So after a quote for $500+ for GD replacement and $200+ for rodding the drain, the estimate all totaled was near $800! Paid the fifty bucks for the house call but declined to pony up the rest. Called a local handyman who opened up the disposal and removed the problem without replacing it for $40. works fine - and he unplugged the drain. Buyer beware of stings like this from companies who take advantage of customer ignorance."

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here for the residential customers while maintaining the American Comfort name for the Commercial side of the business. It may seem like a lot of change, but, it was all done under one of the original owners. To this day, we are still family owned and operated.
