"Joe seemed like a decent guy, but he wasn?t very clear about pricing. He quoted $1,000 to replace my front door, saying it was an all-day job, yet didn?t bring any brochures or options. We looked at doors on his phone, but the images were too small. He said he?d send photos later but didn?t. Instead, he called me at 8:00 AM the next day from Lowe?s the day of install asking me to choose a door, then said he couldn?t do the job that day. I ended up finding a $995 door myself. He asked if I?d put it on my card, then said he?d use his. We rescheduled, but he delayed again and showed up the following day with a helper who did most of the work. It could?ve been a half-day job. The work was fine, but the bill included unexpected charges, pickup, disposal and even installing hardware. That should?ve been discussed upfront."
