Such beautiful and meticulous work in a short amount of time and all by hand. The location was also very difficult to work with but they were not phased by the challenge. "Originally hired MJ Masonry to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall and like most projects there was mission creep. I asked Michael of MJ Masonry if they were interested in taking on 2 additional projects: replacing an old stockade fence with a new one, and replacing a cement walkway with a stone walkway. We agreed on the price of the 2 additions and all projects were completed to the original schedule within 3 weeks of the start date. Details of the projects: 1. Retaining Stone Wall is over 130 linear feet 2. Stockade Fence is approximately 88 linear feet 3. Stone Walkway is approximately 63 square feet The workers lead by Jose are consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what is required to do their job. It was the little things like cleaning up after themselves and repairing annoyance type things that is not in the contract without being asked. At the end of the entire project, my wife and I were so pleased with MJ Masonry's work, we gave them a modest bonus. The icing on the cake was when some of our neighbors coming over and telling us the day after the projects completion that the Retaining Stone Wall, the Stockade Fence, and the Stone Walkway looks beautiful."

"I met with Gary in October to discuss adding a granite cap to my outdoor fire pit. The original fire pit stone and mortar had deteriorated. Gary was able to work with a stone quarry and have them create a round sold granite cap to go over the existing stone. The granite was delivered and placed on top of the pit today as he had to drive a truck across my lawn and we wanted to be sure the ground was frozen. He will return in the spring to finish the work by applying mortar under the granite and he will also do some stone wall repair at that time. While this project has been long and slow, Gary always quickly responded to my text and phone messages. The cost was more than I would like, but material costs are very high everywhere right now. I will definitely work with Gary again."
