"It went really well. Al and Corey are both fantastic to work with. I moved into a house where the yard was in rough shape. I talked to several different landscaping companies and decided on Goodfellows after the initial meeting. Al had such great suggestions for tweaking the design and thinking about the project, that I knew I would regret it if I chose someone else. The customer service is really good. Many contractors I have worked with are almost impossible to get answers from, but Al was always on top of everything I asked. The install team worked very hard and took great care when working close to the house to ensure nothing was damaged. We are very happy with the work that was done and would definitely recommend Goodfellows, without reservation, to anybody considering a landscaping project."

"The owner was excellent to work with. He knew what was needed to resolve our wet basement issues. The crew removed old timbers, bricks, shrubs and a lot of weeds. They packed black dirt, installed edging and prepared the space for mulch. They were prompt, courteous and extremely hard working. I would definitely hire again!"

"We are very pleased with L&R on all the projects that we have had completed in our yard. All the projects were well planned, designed and installed with care and respect to our property. They have done multiple landscaping projects that have improved our yard, including regrading, new shrubs, stone path, granite stone steps in the back yard up to a raised bed garden on the most difficult berm. Also installed brick side walk and under ground drains for rain run off, and replaced our deck with a two level deck and stairway. This past spring we called on them to do a yard cleanup and mulch refresh throughout the yard. The latest project was a some what emergency call when we had to have a new electric service installed, and as part of that work a growing rod had to be installed which required part of our paver sidewalk to be removed and reinstalled. They responded quickly, and made a problem disappear. "Debbie and the crew were wonderful to work with. We hired her to fix several areas of a previously botched install job done by another company, and also add a new paver patio. "This spring we were in search of a company to pour a concrete patio as we were removing our old floating deck. We came across Clark Companies at the White Bear Home Show @ The Hippodrome. They followed up promptly afterwards and set a time to come out for a quote. They answered all our questions and helped us envision what it could look like. "Artistic Landscapes Inc. was one of many companies we talked to and received quotes from about installing a boulder retaining wall in our backyard to replace aging railroad ties and decking. The backyard is sloped with very limited access to move materials and equipment, therefore many of the companies we spoke with responded with either limited options for landscape ideas or unaffordable prices. Chris came out, listened to our ideas, gave us some of his and told us exactly what we could expect; he quickly put a bid together and we were elated it fell within our budget. 



He and his crew not only worked around the limited access issues, but challenging weather including rain and wet conditions/clay soils. In addition to an approximate 60 foot long boulder retaining wall, they installed 33 paver stones for a pathway, steps as a feature area, additional large boulders for aesthetic enhancements and graded the area to address critical storm water runoff needs. The placement of each stone/boulder was clearly thought through, resulting in a unique and attractive wall versus many of the standard "one on top of the other" looks.



Toward the end there were a few minor tweaks we requested to which Chris and his crew were more than happy to accommodate until they knew we were completely satisfied. Clean up was fabulous too; our front yard damaged by major equipment during the process (which we knew was necessary) was fully restored as promised!



Chris was good to communicate with and very trustworthy in terms of what he committed to delivering. I would recommend Artistic Landscapes to anyone seeking quality work at a fair price, and by someone who knows what works and what doesn't. We absolutely love our new backyard...thanks Chris and Artistic Landscapes!

Only complaint is that I had wanted a couple things transplanted and they transplanted very small portions of them without discussing with me. The rest of the plant was removed from the site without asking if I wanted to keep any of it or if a significant amount was transplanted."

"My garage floor was sloping and concrete was damaged. Chris came in showed me the issue that caused the slope, and explained what was needed to fix. Chris and his crew cut out and removed the bad and made it look new. Also Chris and his crew were very personable, nice and honest guys."

"Cherry Hill was fantastic. They landscaped the front of our house, added a couple of plants around our deck and planted some hedges and two trees in our back yard. The were extremely courteous, professional and friendly. After the project was complete they followed up by text and by phone to make sure we were satisfied with the work. "Year 1: Removed ancient driveway and put in steps and sidewalk with pavers then landscaper around the house Year 2: Removed the mess left from killing invasive plants and put in sod and landscaping in a 45x20 ft area. I was very happy with the results for both years. They were a good company to work with both years."
