"Wolf in sheep's clothing. Do not use for any project. Terry comes across as a nice Christian guy but all he cares about is getting his money. We lost 90% of our 3500 sq/ft home to water damage and hired him because he came across as caring/understanding/knowledgeable. I can list over a dozen issues from poor project management, to cheap work, poor communication, false expectations etc... but I wont for sake of time. Feel free to call me or email me and I will tell you everything, share photos (contracts & documents) and you can even come to my home & see the work. In the end he is putting a lien on our home and we have hired a lawyer because he says we owe him money for he never did and for work he never completed. "Using Angie's List, we secured several bids from highly-rated local contractors to complete a few remodel projects in our home. We wanted to replace the backsplash in our kitchen, breakfast area and butler's pantry, change out almost every light fixture in the home and build custom cabinets to increase storage in the mudroom. First met Jim Godre with Remodel Specialists when he came out to look at the work we wanted done. He arrived at the scheduled time and listened intently as we walked him through the list of items we wanted to complete. As promised, we received a detailed estimate from Jim with separate itemized totals for each part of the project . After reviewing all of the bids we received, we made the decision to hire Remodel Specialists to complete the work. From the initial consult, Jim Godre and his entire team were very professional in every aspect of the project. From the first day the work commenced, all the way through to the completion of the project, we received daily email communication from Remodel Specialists informing us of who was coming to the house that day and what item(s) of the project was being worked on. Every Remodel Specialists' employee we came in contact with was very respectful of our home and went out of their way to ensure the work area was cleaned up at the end of the day. They even went above and beyond to bring scaffolding back out to the home to lower a new chandelier that was installed too high. (Thank you Trevor!) Finally, we had custom cabinets built in the mudroom to provide additional storage. Remodel Specialists' cabinet maker, Andy, is a true craftsman. In constructing the new cabinets for the mudroom, Andy perfectly matched the cabinet style and color in the adjoining laundry room. Based on our experience, we know we made the right decision to engage Remodel Specialists to complete the work in our home. "Absolutely AMAZING! The owner of the company is Julio Barron. He arrived on time and from the first moment he listened to what I have in mind and I finished, he walked me through his suggestions. He suggested the wifi lighting connected to my phone, and also without asking he came with detail-oriented little things to match my bathroom decoration to the project. He guided my husband to different places for quality and affordable prices to pick materials. He told me the job would take approximately no more than six and a half weeks and he finished in five! In general, very HONEST from the beginning. He asked me how much was my budget and he helped us to work with it. The final job is OUTSTANDING! and 100% recommendation for him and his whole crew! by the way, now they do my plumbing, and my roofing, and for sure next year they will be hired to remodeling my whole kitchen! "I am so happy and pleased that I chose SJ Restorations; not only did he deliver, he was also very easy to communicate with. I had initially had flooring done by a different contractor that hadn't done a good job but Rich even over the phone told me that he could take care of my problem areas. We made an appointment for him to do his assessment, he gave me the time frame of expected completion which was just a couple of days and was done before that. He even went beyond what he was requested to do to let me know about other services needed at which he could provide.
