As we are not new to landscaping design, I had very specific "wants" and "don't wants" in our project. They were VERY accomodating and reworked the plan design several times before starting the project and during the project. They communicated during every step of the way to assure we were more than happy with the results. As we wanted a design with zero grass, South Eden was extremely knowledgeable in hardscaping options, plant selection, and plant location to make the design perfect for our layout. "I hired Eric Knight in October of 2024 to remove an old flagstone patio and replace it with a new deck. Work commenced November 4 with the demolition of the flagstone. To this day (January 17) the flagstone still sits in my backyard after many promises he would haul it off. I had already paid him to do so. The deck was done to my satisfaction although Eric farmed out the job to sub contractors. We agreed to have an underground drain for the downspouts to empty into my backyard. I wasn?t happy with the design he came up with, with huge PVC pipe above ground, which is quite an eyesore, not to mention it leaks on the deck, and the water doesn?t drain into the yard. He said the leaking was normal, and he would design something to cover it. I?m very disappointed with Industrial Lawn,LLC. Eric Knight can?t be trusted to complete a job, and he lies about when he will show up, So, if anyone is thinking about hiring him, heed my warning. The guy is a snake. "

The form or function may not work for a particular space. Maybe the new place did not come with the landscaping of your choosing or liking. That could mean: Water doesn't drain properly when it rains. Plants in the flower beds don't make sense. Sod was not installed or was done haphazardly. The contract required a permit and final inspection, but no inspector ever came, and the public record still shows the permit as open?despite Benjamin claiming it passed. The new slab is mismatched in color and texture, even though it was supposed to blend with the existing one. He also tried to use pine instead of cedar, despite it being in the contract. The framing ended up uneven, and he used bases sized for pine, making the result look sloppy. Right after the slab, he began demanding full payment daily, saying he needed to pay his workers?unprofessional and outside the contract. He dismissed questions about the build with ?Why are you so picky?? He also dumped excess soil on my lawn without permission. Overall, he ignored agreed details and did what he thought was best. I do not recommend him for anything beyond basic work."
