He took the time to answer questions, explain good options, and made us feel comfortable and valued as people, not just potential customers. From the very beginning, And even now after James has been yet kind and incredibly understanding of our situation. Unfortunately We are not able to move forward with our basement project at this time, and James has showed nothing but grace and respect about that. "For a number of of years we deferred replacing the vinyl siding on our house that was poorly installed and had deteriorated horribly, but after our son and daughter-in-law had their home beautifully redone with Hardiboard siding installed by Craftsmen Home Improvements we knew it was our time. Based on my son’s experience and recommendation, we opted for CHI to install James Hardie siding and soffits and couldn’t be more satisfied with that decision. The work crew (Ray and Luis Nava) were fantastic in all ways; communication, skill and workmanship. They worked tirelessly and efficiently(even in some harsh winter temperatures) and always informed me of issues they encountered with our somewhat “wonky” house 😏 that they addressed with proper solutions. "Northland Coating did my garage floor in June 2013. During the warranty period, small cracks and chips emerged. Justin inspected the damage and promised a recoat, but suggested waiting until the situation worsened and the winter passed, assuring me it would still be covered. Several years later, I believed the issue had worsened and attempted to contact them. After four initial text messages, Justin responded, requesting photos, which I promptly sent. Despite numerous follow-up texts, I received no further communication. I was ghosted! On July 19th, I sent a text stating that if I didn't hear back, I would file a report with the Better Business Bureau and post negative reviews on social media. As of August 1st, there has been no contact."

"Sandau Construction recently completed a window replacement project at my home. They were one of five contractors that I had out to evaluate my project and bid the job. The sales presentation was low pressure, comfortable and offered adequate time for question and answer. The company’s subsequent follow-up to the various questions and issues that I had was prompt, direct and informative. They never tried to “sell” me anything and focused solely on my desires and priorities. Their overall project pricing was competitive overall, versus the other contractors who visited. Pricing was clear and upfront and included no promotional games or gimmicks. With any major home improvement, one doesn’t want to overpay just to ensure quality. The Sandau Price to Quality dynamic was right where it needed to be. Given the high home improvement demand that has been experienced during the pandemic, along with supply chain issues, there was a very lengthy delay from the project down payment to the actual commencement of the job. Once underway, the project installation proceeded quickly. Installers were skilled, agreeable and proceeded in an efficient manner. The final results exceeded expectations. As window replacement is a major investment and expense for any homeowner, getting that all important comfort level from the contractor you’ve chosen is critical. "We hired Eric to remodel our 90+ kitchen. He gutted it almost completely, rebuilt the floor, back stairs, and parts of the walls, put in new arches to match the original nook arches, added a "mud nook," installed cabinets, tiled, painted, added crown molding, and built base board that echoed the original int he front of the house, and served as gen contractors for all the subs. He also finished the ceiling in the basement and painted all. The final product is beautiful. It wasn't an easy job either. Our old house provided plenty of challenges, but Eric was a good communicator, explaining the problems and working together to figure out how best to address them. He did a beautiful job on the arches, and dealing with a challenging, wonky ceiling that needed extensive work to level out, and the nook with great looking wood work and careful attention to detail. The overall project took longer than planned do to some unforeseen challenges with the house, and changes we wanted to make along the way, but he was always responsive and helpful. As general contractor there were a few issues, particularly with the stove, that weren't clearly understood or defined, but his subs helped worked through them and all turned out well. I think that's the theme of Eric's work - he was there to make sure the problems were addressed directly and the work done completely and well. I appreciate his persistence, his guidance, and his ideas on improving on our vision. We now have a well organized, beautiful kitchen that's getting a ton of use!"

"Bjorn and Northway were great! He responded quickly to my request, showed up on time, and talked me through what we saw on the roof that needed repair. He took the time to explain to me all of the options. Then, presented a quote quickly with potential upgrades that I could do, but didn’t have to if my budget didn’t allow. He did not pressure my decision in any way. I asked a series of follow up questions via a couple emails, and bjorn took the time to respond to each one. After meeting with 4 more companies, I decided to move forward with his quote based on price, quality of work/product, and my trust in him based on our conversations. A few weeks later, a crew from Northway arrived to remove my existing shingles, remove/install a new skylight, and lay new shingles to my 2k+ sq ft roof. Before they started to remove the shingles they made sure the area around my house was properly tarped off and there was no property around the house that would be damaged during the work. During the replacement I was contacted with questions/issues that arose so I was able to provide feedback. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience, and the level of work performed by Northway. I recommend them to anyone who asks for roofing help, and look forward to hiring them again (if needed) in the future."
